Yup, we’re adding a new market to bring biscuit joy to your midweek! We’ll be at Rivermont Farmers Market today from 3-7pm with our biscuit sandwiches. Same freshly baked biscuits with Deep Roots Milling flours. Our own pastured pork sausage raised here at Oakshire. Farm eggs from homesteading friends just over the ridge. And fresh produce sourced from our garden and our farmer friends!

Here’s hoping the only smoke tomorrow morning is the sizzle of sausage on the griddle! We will see you tomorrow 8-12 at both our Nellysford market and IX Art Park Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative Farmers Market At Ix

A side note: we’re proud that the greens on our Green Goddess are from fellow farmers at market like Double H Farm Little Hat Creek Farm and others—and the herbs in our GG sauce are from our own gardens. Local, yummy and safe!

Our farmers are bringing tons of fresh produce thanks to the recent rains! Grab your bags, a cooler and come on out to the market tomorrow!

We've got Oakshire Farm serving up their from scratch breakfast biscuits (local flour, sausage, eggs, and cheese), El Chilango Mexican Grill LLC serving up fresh made breakfast burritos and Kona Ice of Charlottesville cooling us down with fluffy shaved ice!

This Saturday we will not be at the IX Art Park market, but you can find us and our breakfast biscuits and scones at Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative. Michael is excited to see all those familiar faces again! ☺️

A perfect biscuit 💛 Friday mornings our kitchen turns into a bakery as we make all the biscuits by hand for our Saturday markets. A few of them go missing…

So you wanted to go to the farmers market this weekend but now it’s raining? Grab your rain boots and let me introduce you to a family motto from my childhood: “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing” ☔️ 😂 But it’s true. There’s much fun to be had in the rain, just bring your umbrellas, your raincoat and maybe a tarp (yes a tarp! Well depending on what you’re doing I guess).

At our markets this weekend you’ll find freshly baked scones for cozy long weekend time. There will be freshly grilled breakfast biscuits and those delicious cheddarwursts with sauerkraut to keep you warm!

Summer will be here soon enough but we will take one more rainy spring weekend while we can. See ya at market!
