Victim’s Voice: The distributor for a local dairy farm has cut them off suddenly forcing the Sinagra family-owned farm to sell 100% directly to the consumers, but the owners say they will not be forced out of their 30-year business. They’re ready for what’s ahead.

The news yesterday made it to Baton Rouge. Regardless of what side of the political aisle you’re on, I think we can all agree we need more politicians like Representative Kim Landry Coates. Kim cares about her constituents so much, is unabashed in her beliefs, and won’t let anyone bully her into backing down from fighting the good fight. Kim, it’s comforting knowing you have our backs in Baton Rouge. We are thankful for you!

Important Farm Update: from the time we opened two years ago, we’ve been bottling roughly half of the milk produced on our farm and the other half has been sold via 18 wheeler tanker to a couple large processors. Unfortunately, yesterday we were cut off and are no longer allowed to ship milk to the other processors. This means our farm is now 100% dependent on the milk we bottle and sell ourselves.

There was one processor, who all of you would know, that was the driving force behind cutting us off. This processor has been hostile towards us from the time we started.

What I’ve realized over the past two years is pretty simple: the milk business in Louisiana is very monopolistic. There are a couple key players and they want to squash any competition. We were told that this processor’s goal of having us cut off is that we will not be able to make ends meet and will have to quit bottling our milk. Well, I have news for them. We aren’t going anywhere.

Don’t forget our giveaway closes at 11:59PM tonight and the winner will be announced Thursday. We are also open today from 2-6pm at the farm, so y’all come see us!! Today is a monumental day for our farm and it also happens to be world milk day!

It’s our birthday!!! 🎉🥳 Today marks two years of Sinagra Family Dairy. Two years of incredible support from all of you and two years of providing y’all with the highest quality milk we can produce! We are so thankful for all you, and we are looking forward to celebrating many more birthdays.
To celebrate our birthday, we are going to have a HUGE giveaway that will be announced on Thursday, so y’all stay on the lookout for that!!
We are also open at the farm today from 2-6pm, so y’all see us! We hope all of you had a restful and safe Memorial Day weekend.
