In May, we celebrated the journey to bottling our 20th vintage! With June, we are reveling in the coming future harvest with the start of flowering!

Flowering is an important time for the vine, as it marks the transition from vegetative growth to now focusing on self-pollination. This transition period for the vine is fast and only lasts for about one to two weeks!

Want to come see the flowering in person? Join us anytime this weekend to enjoy a tasting while amongst the flowing vines. Wanting a little more than a cheese board with your tasting, well, you’re in luck, as this Sunday marks our Pizza Pop-Up event for June. Don’t miss out and make your reservation today on our website through Tock or by emailing [email protected].

Last week, we wrapped up May with bottling our 2024 vintage, our 20th vintage! It is unbelievable that our journey began over two decades ago, with our first bottling in 2005.

While our love for Oregon Pinot Noir is the same, things look a little different from 2005. Now with a rented mobile bottling truck (Thank you, Casteel Custom Bottling!), we handle everything on-property, unlike in 2005, when we were located out of space made special for small producers, .

However, no matter the location or vintage, it is because of the support and dedication of all those who volunteer and come to help out that we are able to continue making special wines to share! So with that, thank you to our Winemaker, Kelly Kidneigh, Kelly’s winemaking team, and all those who were a part of “Camp Dukes 2026!”

Summer Sundays are great for soaking up the sun, sipping on wine, and enjoying some delicious bites. In honor of the gorgeous Oregon summer Sundays, we are hosting a Summer Sunday Pop-Up series. With this, the first Sunday of the summer months (May through September), we will be hosting a wood-fired Pizza Pop-Up. On the third Sunday of the summer months (June through September), we will be hosting a Soup Pop-Up.

With each of these pop-ups, you may enjoy either a pizza or soup pairing with some special Dukes wine. The tasting fee of $45/person includes a flight and either pizza or soup (depending on the Sunday you choose to join us). We are excited to kick off the coming summer months with a bang and are pleased to announce that the first Pizza Pop-Up will be hosted this weekend, on May 3rd!

Don’t miss your opportunity to come taste, enjoy a special bite, and relax by the pond. Reservations can be made on our website through Tock or by emailing [email protected].

Join us in celebrating the spring blooms and the beginning of yet another growing season! Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, come join Dukes and 31 other wineries in celebrating the 2026 Spring Equinox. This special equinox marks the 20th anniversary of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, making it the perfect celebration to showcase and enjoy the many wines produced in this unique growing region.

Enjoy 32 wineries, 70+ wines, 7 local chefs, an auction, and of course a wine shop! If that isn’t enough, there are also two educational tasting panel opportunities being hosted at Lingua Franca. One panel will focus on the landscape of Oregon Chardonnay, while the other explores the connection between terroir and Oregon Pinot Noir. Alongside the educational tasting panels, the Equinox Grand Tasting will be hosted at Zenith Vineyard.

Tickets to the educational tasting panels hosted at Lingua Franca are $50 each, with limited seats available. Premier Entry to the Grand Tasting at Zenith Vineyard is $125 and gives you access from 4 to 8pm. General Admission to the Grand Tasting is $75 and gives you access from 5 to 8pm.

While this special event brings people together to enjoy and celebrate the unique terroir and wines of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, it also acts as the primary fundraiser for the non-profit organization that supports the growers and producers of the growing region. Any and all are welcome to buy tickets (find the link below or in our bio), and we can’t wait to see you there!

Spring is blooming here at Dukes! Our estate vines are beginning to bud while our property flowers are blooming.

Bud break is an exciting time here at the vineyard, as it signals to us that our vines are emerging from dormancy and beginning yet another growing season. Bud burst also falls at the beginning of spring and seemingly kicks off the many spring events here at the vineyard and winery.

What events, you may ask… We just hosted our Club Pick-Up Party, finished up barrel blending trials, scheduled our bottling, began planning for our Pre-Memorial Weekend Open House, and more!

Our vines aren’t the only plants sprouting to life, as many of the different plants around the vineyard are beginning to bloom. So, don’t miss out on these spring blooms and come visit us at the vineyard for a spring tasting. Whether you want to enjoy a tasting on our enclosed patio or soak up the spring sun in our lawn furniture, we would love to host you! Reservations can be made on our website through Tock or by emailing [email protected].

Last weekend, we hosted our Spring Club Pick-Up Party! This sunny day was filled with special pre-release wines, delicious food made by Chef Pat, and amazing company.

With this event, we showcased some of the pre-release 2023 vintage wines, exclusive to our club members. While delicious, these wines are still young, so we are excited to see how they will age and transform as they lay down.

This event would not have been possible without the help of our generous volunteers or without the attendance of our amazing club members. Thank you to all those who made this day such a special celebration focused on wine, food, and great company.

Want to join in on all the fun? Join the Dragonfly Wine Club today, and you can look forward to delicious wines as well as member perks such as free tastings, tickets to exclusive events, and special wine discounts! Find more information on the Dukes Family Vineyards website, and feel free to reach out with any questions.

Spring is quickly approaching, and with the seasons changing, the vines at Dukes are looking a little different. Much like us at the Dukes, the vines enjoyed a relaxing and dormant winter where they could rest and recover before embarking on the 2026 growing season.

With spring on the horizon, it is time to wake our vines up and get them ready for another growing season, which means that it is time for pruning. With pruning, we remove the old unnecessary growth to make room for new shoots. We cannot thank all the professionals who came out and took care of our vines enough, as our vineyard is now pruned, cleaned, and ready to grow.

Come enjoy some Oregon spring sunshine with us while taking in our pond and pruned vines. We hope to see you soon! Reservations can be made on our website through Tock or by emailing [email protected].
