Why galvanized after weld wire is better:
Image 1 is is galvanized before weld. Galvanization before weld means they dip the wire prior to welding. So it’s weaker. It breaks more frequently and leaves it more susceptible to rusting over time.
Image 2+3 are GAW (galvanized after weld). They dip it after they weld. Meaning it becomes one unified solid piece. That’s why it costs more. They can’t mass dip sheets of GAW wire like they can just rods. It’s stronger and will last longer.
I did GAW on two of my rolls and GBW on one roll to save costs. But even then people lost it over what I paid for wire. If you don’t want to pay that, then don’t. But KW, Bass, pointer Hill and some of the best makers in the US will only use gaw, there’s a reason for that. You pay for quality. Hopefully these cages will outlive me
