Good morning! ☀️

It’s that time of year again when the questions start rolling in…

Why are there feathers EVERYWHERE?! 🪶
Why does the yard look like there was a chicken pillow fight?! 😂
Are the chickens okay?!
Did a predator come through?! 👀🦊
And wait… WHERE ARE ALL THE EGGS?! 🥚🤣

Ahhh yes… molting season has arrived.

Which also means we’ve gone from 4–5 dozen eggs a day down to about 1–2 dozen…

And our duck friends?

Absolutely ZERO. 🦆🥚

Apparently everyone has decided that growing new feathers is much more important than doing their actual job. 😂

I’ll do my best to post here whenever eggs are available at the stand, so keep an eye on the page!

Currently, we do have 2 dozen outside at the stand! 🥚🥚

Thank you for your patience while our girls take their annual feather-growing vacation. They’ll get back to work eventually… once they’ve finished redecorating the entire yard with feathers. 😂🪶🐔🦆

These sweet faces are some of our current fosters with Wilder Souls Rescue — beautiful Mama Gloria and her litter of 10 precious puppies, along with our very pregnant Ruby Ann, who will be welcoming her own little ones soon. 🐶💕
