I had an opportunity to teach a soapmaking class to a fellow farm yesterday before the storm set in! It was a lot of fun and so nice to share my love of soapmaking with others who are passionate about creating high-quality soaps. We worked together to develop a recipe that included their own farm's tallow and focused around the use of essential oils and natural colorants. Can't wait to see the cuts!

It's 18° out, and I gotta say, it actually feels really nice with the sun. ☀️ The boys (and girls) are back in their regular winter pens for the day, though if the temps drop a lot at night they'll be back in their stalls overnight to make sure no one gets too cold or potentially sick from the brutal temp changes.

Hope you're all digging out fine back at your places!

Feels like...-2° 🥶❄️ It is cold and snowy out here today, but unfortunately farm chores don't stop, they just get more difficult (see broken tire, frozen water hose on the ATV, cords frozen to the ground, etc. etc.). We're very thankful to have a barn though so that we could tuck the goats inside warm stalls with lots of fresh bedding, warm water, and hay till the storm passes. 🌡️🐐🧣
