We ended up with 15 production hives this year over nine last year. It looks like a little less honey per have than last year but more overall since we had more colonies. Here are some harvest pics with our new extractor!! So much fun!!! Local Gold😃

It’s honey time!! This board is called a “bee escape”. It is placed under the honey boxes and allows the bees go through a one way door. After a day or so, there are no bees left above the board and you can easily remove the honey boxes without disturbing the workers. Notice the board installed in the middle of the stack.
