Ingredients:
For the Flan Layer:
2 cups (500ml) whole milk
½ cup (120g) sweetened condensed milk
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Chocolate Fondant Layer:
4 oz (115g) dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa), chopped
½ cup (115g) unsalted butter
½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
¼ cup (30g) all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
A pinch of salt
For the Caramel (Optional):
½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
2 tablespoons water
Directions:

In a bowl, whisk together whole milk, condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Pour the mixture gently over the caramel layer.
3. Prepare the Chocolate Fondant Batter:
Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
Whisk in the sugar, followed by the eggs, one at a time.

Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the flan is set but the chocolate layer remains slightly soft in the center.
6. Chill & Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) to allow the flan to set completely.
To serve, gently run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate so the caramel drips over the top.
