We’re looking for 1–2 people to join our team! We’re after friendly, reliable folks who enjoy chatting with people, providing great customer service, and being part of a local, community-focused business. Hospitality or customer service experience is a plus!

APPLE PRESSING: PART 1 — THE APPLES

A lot of people are shocked to know we get as many apples as we do right here in Alaska.

Our long summer daylight gives apple trees plenty of sunlight during the growing season, while many varieties suited to colder climates can handle our chilly winters. Southcentral Alaska’s relatively cool summers can also help apples develop their flavor.

Our apples come from all over Southcentral Alaska, and every fall, we bring that harvest together for apple pressing season at Double Shovel.
