Spenard 2nd Saturday History Talk - Anchorage’s Older Neighborhoods: Government Hill, Mountain View, Fairview, and Spenard. A history of how Anchorage’s older neighborhoods came to be and the colorful stories involved, from prostitutes to cabbage crimes.

This Spenard 2nd Saturday History talk is brought in partnership with the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the ā€œMunificationā€ of Anchorage!

In 1975, the City of Anchorage and the Greater Anchorage Area Borough united into what we now know as the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA). Fifty years later, we’re still better together.
