Ryan from overstory_goods has been carefully tending the food forest planted with Propagate at Wally all summer, and despite a little bit of deer damage, everything is looking super vibrant and healthy! This future food forest is packed with fruit trees, nut trees, berries, and medicinal herbs in the understory— it will be amazing watching it mature. 2nd slide is the first cold hardy persimmons! 🙌

On Saturday we hosted a great group in collaboration with CornellCoopExtColumbiaGreene to learn about wild-simulated American ginseng growing— an endangered plant that is very picky about its growth conditions, but is prized around the world as a unique adaptogen. Thank you Tracey Testo Smith, Ashley, and overstory_goods for sharing your knowledge with everyone!
