this one is for all the berry heads or really anyone who is interested in what is happening on the farm. fruit is setting! hoping we will be open for u-pick in early June but the best way to stay in the loop is to subscribe to our newsletter (link in bio).
we were nervous about the bloobs (and still are) due to that bad freeze a few weeks back but we are now seeing some fruit set in the early varieties. we wonโ€™t quite know the damage until a bit more time has passed.

and what else have we been doing?! what else will we do? we have been planting and seeding and even harvesting. it was our first year of asparagus! now weโ€™re pulling up green garlic. we have planted artichokes and tomatoes and onions and SO MUCH more. we will sell this lovely veg alongside the upick this summer. we are working with some distributors to move it down to the city. we are growing our relationships with other local businesses & restaurants so you can find our veg in a bunch of the places you love to go.

also, our cat had kittens, there are a lot of little league games happening and our small but mighty crew is trying to stay up on all of the things that have to happen each and every day on the farm. more updates and lovely food to come!

how many things can get done in a 24 hour period?! how many things can i hold in my brain at once?! how many plants can we plant? how many things can we fix? how many last minute scrambles can we pull off? how many nights in a row can we wake up at 3 am to turn on the sprinklers for frost protection? is northeastern spring type 2 fun?!

emerging from deep winter to say all ice will melt and soon there will be a fresh crop of photos of my hand holding all the things we grow.

new to the Hudson Valley but not new to farming and this season we are gearing up in earnest to do what we love: grow beautiful, specialty produce for restaurants, grocers and food obsessed home cooks like you.

there is much to say about the farm transition we are a part of but for now we want to say that weโ€™re here, weโ€™re planning and making moves and getting ready to grow a farm, a lot of food and new relationships.

we are beyond excited to carry on this farmโ€™s organic upick tradition of strawberries and blueberries and add to the line up (pumpkins, asparagus and more). plus a little rag tag veggie stand for anyone who wants to load up after you pick fruit.

weโ€™re building things, weโ€™re reaching out, weโ€™re getting ready to hard launch this season so stay tuned as we dream about june and july and august and get our hands dirty here.

oh and swipe to see some of what we will have for you this season ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š
