Steelbow Farm Steelbow Farm grows specialty vegetables and berries in the Hudson Valley. Steelbow Farm is a small mixed vegetable operation outside of Austin, TX.

We believe in taking care of people, plants and soil while growing beautiful food and community. We grow diversified vegetables using low to no-till practices.

The strawberry moon celebrates the short sweet window of abundance. June is for strawberries in this pocket of the world. And we thought it would be appropriate in our first year as strawberry growers to celebrate the land, the work, the growth, the harvest, and the pleasure of food. Summer is officially upon us and we can all feel the energy shifting. We hope you will join us as we take a moment to delight in all we have- berries and the promise of so much more wonderful food, long sunny days and people to share it all with.
Our Strawberry Moon Party is this Sunday, June 28th 4-8pm.
Westerly Canteen will be making their magic in the kitchen (airstream)
Andrea Maddox will create a rollicking time
and we will have berries for you to pick.

Tickets are limited and selling, so please purchase ahead of time if you want to join! We will not be able to accommodate many folks at the door. Link in bio to go grab em.

The moon will be at its peak Monday June 29th at 7:56pm look up and enjoy.

come and get ‘em. borrowed a mood ring from my 6 yo but didn’t need it to tell me that strawbs definitely give you a mental boost. especially when you pick them peak ripe and eat them and they are warm from the sun becoming jam in your mouth. okay see you out there!

Big week at the UPICK. Y’all picked around 4,000lbs of strawberries! Thanks so so much for everyone who has been coming out!m. We love your boxes, your baskets, your buckets and bags. We love your red stained fingers and faces. It feels amazing to get to witness the joy and sweetness and fun that berries bring out of people.

We won’t be open for pick your own tomorrow, Sunday 6/21 because the berries need a beat to rest & ripen. We will be back at it next week and it seems like we have a couple more weeks of good picking to go. Thanks for the warm welcome and all the berry love.

We got berries now & the season is shorter than you think! Weather should be perfection like today, so no excuses! Come on out, tell your friends and let’s all get our jamberry on!

BERRY UPDATE 6/12

We will be open tomorrow starting at 8.

There are still lots of ripe berries to find!

You will have to do some looking!

We may get picked out early, so if you are traveling from far away, this may not be your weekend.

Currently picking Early Glow & Brunswick, both are real lovelies.

If you are brave and burly and want to bring gloves and long sleeves there are a lot of ripe berries in the thistle zones! Swim at your own risk!

Oh, and don’t forget you can always call the BERRY LINE for up to date picking conditions!

WOW! What a turnout! We’re a little dazed after opening day, but wanted to say thanks for everyone who came and picked berries today. Thank you to the people who picked some flowers too and did some w**d pulling! Thanks to all of you who were so warm and encouraging and delighted by the strawberries. Thanks for making me feel like thistle in the strawberries isn’t the worst thing in the world. Thanks, thanks, thanks! We appreciate it all SO much. We made it until the end of the day- pretty picked out now. But we will be back open Friday 8-1! Ready to do it all again. See you soon! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
