Free field trip/pumpkin smash in Anderson

🐖 Come learn about pastured pork and feed a leftover fall pumpkin to the pigs. Don't let your porch pumpkin go to waste! Farms everywhere typically want pumpkins for their animals this time of year.
🦠 Farmer Elwood studied biology in college and can explain the nutritional benefits of pumpkins for our pastured pigs. Discuss the differences between this method of farming and a factory model. Ask farming and homesteading questions, as many of you are growing more of your own food in 2026 or buying regularly from local farms. Our pork will be available for purchase.
🌲 Vendors will be bringing locally-ground coffee, baked goods, Christmas cards, ornaments, wood burned art, garden seeds, portraits, bookmarks, their own YA fantasy books they've written (!!!!), and a craft table where children can make a woodland or farm creature.
📖 Family Life Church of Iva will be coming! Learn about their ministry and vision and enjoy getting to know some of their people!

We processed 79 chickens over two days, so we are back in stock. Reach out and we will meet your poultry meat needs!

$6 per lb for pasture raised, non-GMO feed, no antibiotics, no vaccines, just bugs/grass and sunshine. Average size is approx 4.8lbs.

We had a successful first year raising turkeys. Ended up processing 12 turkeys this past Saturday. We currently have 2 remaining for sale. They are $7 per lb, and are in the ~13lb range. Fed non-GMO feed and raised on pasture so plenty of sunshine and bugs. No antibiotics/hormones/vaccines/etc. Reach out and get one of these turkeys for your Thanksgiving table!

Chick Day is here! Our fall batch of meat chickens have arrived and made their way into the brooder. 2 weeks under the heat lamps and then out onto pasture where all the bugs are. The boys were out collecting some grasshoppers. It’s wild that even as day old chicks they can catch those grasshoppers and start chowing down!
