I can tie my own shoes, get up and down out of the floor, and leg press 90 #.
Next up… Getting on the tractor. 😊🚜

Great news at PT today 😊
I have “normal” range of motion with the new hip hardware. 🎉 (Well… one measurement showed within 3 degrees - I call that close enough 😉)llc All that work I did prior to surgery really paid off. 🙂
Moving to a new phase of PT - where I can go to the gym on my own and do follow up visits once a week for the next few weeks.
Still not allowed to get down in the floor just yet - that’s a biggie - because I have a LOT of planting to do - soon.

I was asked recently, “Are you a soil-blocking expert?”
At the time, I interpreted it as questioning my ability to give instructions on how to do it.
But later it occurred to me that they may have just been genuinely curious as to what my experience was.
The answer is: “I don’t know.” 🤷‍♀️
I mean…. What exactly qualifies you to be an “expert”?
It’s not that hard. I can show you how to do it.
And I will if you want me to. 💕

I’ve been puttering around cleaning out drawers and cabinets- you know … the New Year purge….but nothing really heavy duty.
But this morning I thought it would be a great idea to tackle the bathroom cabinets, and then I thought it would be an even better idea to mop the floors.
Not even 2 hours in and I was pooped.
It was such a weird kind of tired. 🫤
My next great idea was to chill on the couch while the floors dried. 🥱🥱
And that turned into one of those naps that hit hard - the kind when you wake up and have no idea what time it is.
I guess just because you get a great post-op report and they tell you that you can do pretty much whatever you want- doesn’t mean you should. 🫣 AND… Note to self- they also gave you a little handout that specifically pointed out in bold capital letters- “YOU WILL BE EXHAUSTED - it will take time to rebuild your endurance”
After I kinda came out of my stupor, I abandoned the mop bucket and made my way down to the flower shed, found me a soothing rainy day playlist and got a few trays of seeds going. 😊
