Picked up some lunch from Ben Shoemaker @ BennyCrockers BBQ and it did not disappoint. For just $10 you can grab a pulled pork sandwich, Mac & Cheese, and Cole slaw. The pulled pork is awesome. High quality bbq can be hard to find locally but this is great. This is currently a side hustle for Ben so you’ve got to get this awesome food while you can. Go see him at the Anderson Food Court.

As a local small business ourselves I can tell you that community support is everything. The crew at HoneyPop’s Bar & Grill in Anderson definitely earned my support tonight. The food was awesome. Steak was perfectly cooked and great flavor, even tried the Honey Bun bread pudding and it was phenomenal. Go show this new local business our community support. I’m confident they will earn it for you too.

Thanks to Elite Carpet Care & Restoration for bringing us another great business to the community.

Most of you know that we install and service water well equipment but do you also know we have been treating problem water in the 4-State area for almost 40 years? This particular water treatment system consists of an AIO system for sulfur/iron removal along with a Premium Water Softener to remove calcium hardness. This water went from smelling like rotten eggs and leaving the homeowners with soap scum buildup and dry, itchy skin to being clean, great tasting water that is easy on the skin and the appliances. Give us a call to discuss your water treatment needs or to request a water quality test.

Don’t let this happen to your well house!

Water Well Preparation Required for Cold

One more day to get ready! The wind will push the coming cold temps further into a well house than normal and with temps not predicted to get above freezing until next week it will have plenty of time to soak through light insulation with no heat. We all need to take steps now to ensure we continue to have water from our wells over the cold period. We can't possibly go over every precaution or scenario in a single post as every system is different so give us a call if you have any specific questions.

1. Check that heat lamps and heaters are actually working and ready for use. Psi switch will likely be the first place to freeze so make sure heat is pointed towards it. Also, heat needs to be as close to the floor as possible and not up on a shelf.
2. Put fresh insulation around piping and psi tanks. Insulation gets wet over time and animals tear it up which causes it to lose its effectiveness.
3. Seal up any cracks or holes in your well house. Expanda-foam works great but stuffing blankets or towels can be a cheap alternative.
4. Unhook hoses from outside faucets. Hoses keep the hydrants from draining back properly and the ice will follow the water down into the ground and can freeze your main line or bust your hydrant.
5. Only leave the water dripping a small amount at the faucet furthest away in your house if you know your well is a strong producer. This constant use of water can put a severe strain on weaker wells and cause damage to your pump.

Call us with any questions, (417) 775-5770. We would much rather help you get ready for the cold weather and save you money than have to thaw a frozen system. Though if you do find yourself frozen give us a call and we will do our best to help you.

Wrapped up another new system this week between all the rain. We located this tank inside a new shop building at the customer’s request and it gave us a nice dry location to finish things up in. We’re pretty proud of our work and are confident you will appreciate the quality also.
