Hidden Lake Retrievers, LLC Hidden Lake Retrievers is a full time kennel offering boarding, hunt test/field trial training, and Kirk Wichman had his first dog trained in 1994.

From that moment on he was interested in the art of training dogs. In 1999 he went to work for Pat McHale, a hunt test/gun dog trainer and worked with him for four years. In 2002, he left Ridgewood Kennels and went to work for Danny Farmer, one of the most successful Field Trial trainers of all time. Kirk worked with Danny and began leasing space starting his own training kennel at Vinwood Kennels

. In 2004, Kirk realized he thoroughly enjoyed professionally training retrievers and built what is now home of Hidden Lake Retrievers, LLC. To date, Kirk has many AKC Hunt Test titles to his credit, 60 of those being Master Hunters, and numerous Master National Qualifiers each year. He has been guiding duck hunts for 25 years, and been the head guide at Moody Ranch Outfitters for 20 years.
