Hill Valley Farm, located in East TN, is dedicated to breeding and raising Nigerian Dwarf goats for milk production and for the show ring.

Our goal is to continually improve the breed. We are an ADGA Plus herd, and a clean tested herd.

We always joke about "The Butter Dynasty" but here it is minus Butter's daughter from this year (Pecan) who is still sleeping with the other juniors in the kid pens. This is why I love dam raising. They will snuggle each other and keep warm and yes they are super friendly!
This is Hill Valley Butterfly Effect 1*M, and her daughters Hill Valley Butterfinger and Hill Valley G Peanut Butter. Note Butter is always in the middle. 💜💜💜

Fall break was busy here at Hill Valley Farm for several reasons but here are some of them: 5 batches of soap, and several batches of lotion (all are not pictured). I finished lotion making today with the final milk I had 🙌 more soap making tomorrow.

Last Friday I did a little more than AI, I brought home this little beauty!

Earlier in the year, I got on Lacy Johnson 's list for another Frost daughter. When "Fetch" had twin doelings I knew immediately I wanted one. Fetch was a yearling FF this year who won Reserve Champion at the SMDGA Summer Classic in June as a bred dry yearling and I had the pleasure of meeting her and getting to watch her on the move. She has lovely dairyness that I love but also strength to match, and stands so correctly on her feet and legs. Frost has 2 Grand Champion legs to his name, one BIS as well as one Reserve Champion. This little girl is being doted on and spoiled. We lost our beloved Elk in the summer of 2025 and I have missed her so much so it was a no brainer to bring this little girl in. She was born July 29, 2026 and has some growing to do but I am so excited about her potential! Thank you, once again, to Lacy at Vista Oaks Farm for trusting us with this sweet girl.

If there's one thing I've learned with goats, it's that sometimes your best plans just don't work out. Today I saw GCH Vista Oaks Risky Business 1*M VEEE90 (aka Risky) in heat, so it seems she has short cycled 5 days after being bred to Agape's Prize Pressed For Luck. Because she is older, and I have a time line of when I want to be done breeding and in turn kidding out for 2027, I made the decision to breed her with our guy Cade's Lil Farm LR Magnum. Magnum brings length to the pairing, as Press did which is my goal with her. His mammaries backing him should pair beautifully with hers, therefore I am happy as long as she actually settles (my main goal). If she does settle, she will be due March 1, 2027 which isn't far from what my goal with her was. The kids WILL be DNA'd however as anyone with goats knows, if they settle it's generally on the short cycle. Hill Valley will be retaining at least one doeling from this breeding if at all possible. This AI breeding took place yesterday:
Hill Valley Graceful Aurora X Vista Oaks Rocket.
Anyone who knows us knows our Rocket daughters: Hill Valley Butterfly Effect 1*M, CH Hill Valley Wonderland's Alice, and GCH Hill Valley Oer the Sea 2 Skye 4*M. These ladies have improved our herd therefore when given the chance to own some Rocket straws last year I jumped at it. Rocket was here for a few years but then as we all do with bucks, I moved him to make room for new genetics. While I am so happy where he landed, I do miss everything he had to offer and would love to breed him back in. Aurora is out of The Hill Valley Z Lila Grace 3*M VVVV87 and Primrose Hill M Archimedes. Lila was an incredible brood doe, who is the dam of Skye therefore who better to breed Rocket to than Aurora? Aurora brings that width and RUH just as Rocket does. She also has a nice medial. She is really impressing me and while we did not get her to a show this year, she is easily one of my most exciting does in our herd at the moment. I love everything about her.
This was my very first time doing an AI breeding, which we did at a clinic under the supervision of an incredible teacher, Jessica Sellars . I am so hopeful it sticks! If it does this will be one of our most anticipated breedings for 2027 kids. Reservations are open with the understanding I am hopeful to retain a doeling. To say I am excited about this breeding is the understatement of the year! Now we wait and look very much forward to confirming with ultrasound asap! If she settles, Aurora will be due February 24, 2027.

Yesterday we traveled to Cookeville, TN for an AI clinic and also synced our Risky girl up for a date with a very special boy: Agape's Prize Pressed For Luck 🙌
GCH Vista Oaks Risky Business 1*M VEEE90 is an incredibly special girl who has the title of being the first permanent Champion to grace our barn. Risky is a power house in strength, general appearance, mammary and production. She is our oldest lady we are breeding currently (will be 10 this year) therefore I am determined to get her bred. Press' pedigree speaks for itself but he has proven himself in his daughters already. I have watched his daughters grow, freshen and seen the udders he produces and they are exactly what I'm working towards. He has matured into a solid, strong buck with dairyness and angulation for days. This breeding is a no brainer and something I know the Nigerian world needs. If she settles, Risky will be due Feb 24, 2027. 🙏
We will be retaining heavily off of this breeding and reservations would be private treaty so if you're thinking you want in on this message me.
