Pogue's Katahdin Ranch We are a family run sheep ranch, raising registered Katahdin hair sheep for breeding and meat. "This is a Katahdin Sheep Ranch. Katahdin's are hair sheep.

Excellent moms and made for meat. We offer meat sheep and can assist with halal meat or locating a butcher for you. We also offer breeding rams and usually have at least 40 on site to choose from. Our stock are registered or registerable. We started in 2020 with our first lambing in 2021. We have had 5 lambing cycles in 3 years. Most of our lambs are twins or triplets. We also have had many visito

rs including school field trips. Our farmhouse is available as a short term rental. Sleep with the sheep on top of Call Hill Mountain. Contact us if you would like to get sheep cuddles, want to stay on the ranch, fill your freezer or are looking to add to your flock."

Missed getting cuddles while I was away.. I am very grateful for Rock Creek Katahdins taking over the sheep and being close so I still get to be involved. The second group should start lambing in a week. Excited to have some brown babies in that group!

Wow the boys are growing. They are nestled into the barn during the cold with the winds howling outside last night. I am grateful my solar camera works and I can see them outside eating when the sun is out. They are all hoping the Wooly Bear catepillar is right. The Woolys I have seen have more dark brown near their head and long light brown bodies with a tiny dark brown on the tail meaning harsh at the beginning, then mild, and a little harsh at the end. (My porkchop Samson wouldnt lift his head to smile for me.)

Some of our boys. The first 6 pictures are 2025 lambs and of course Samson who is now a proven ram as he knocked up one of the moms before we split the ram lambs and she just had twins in October with no meds. The rest of the pictures are rams born in 2023 and 2024. Love these guys!
