I LOVE SEEING PEOPLE BRAG ON THEMSELVES! Idk if it’s an unpopular opinion, but I think too many people take humility too far.
Burks, Teresa J DVM called over to me while I was vending at the agility trial and told me about a cute bucket she won from winning High in Trial at the Borzoi National Specialty. It made my day!
Celebrating accomplishments is a big deal and it should be a big deal to everyone else that cares about you! The world is a crazy place and life can be overwhelming. If we aren’t stopping to celebrate accomplishments and progress we make along the way, what’s the point?
I will forever brag about how one of the does from my breeding milked 20.2 # on one of her milk tests this year and continues to milk over 2 gallons/day. I even found someone at the dog agility trial to brag to about it, lol.
I have amazing dairy goat friends and even my dog agility friends are so incredibly supportive about my farm successes despite not even having dairy goats! Do whatever you can to surround yourself with people like that! JOY is an amazing thing to spread and it’s the accomplishments that keep us going during the struggles.
