Bees have been busy in between rain showers. Later golden rod, ragw**d, Japanese knotw**d and more are being forgaged.

Winter prep for the hives has begun. Checking brood pattern. More bees for the winter cluster. Treating for Varroa mites. Making sure the bees are the healthiest for the long winter. Low varroa loads means less virus. Checking nectar/honey/pollen food stores around brood chamber. Adding pollen patties when necessary. As the bees collect the nectar and put into the honey supers, I need to check to make sure they have enough room to keep filling them up. Regular maintence around the apiary is happening. New to me electric w**d whacker is up and running. going around and ensuring grass is not touching bottom electric fence wire. The path to the apiary and inside apiary as well.
