With all the rain we've had at Grizzle Farms the tractor stayed parked tonight. The ATV and our little 2 ton harvesting wagons are a friendlier on wet ground and help keep us from leaving ruts across the field. We left them parked in the grass and just walked in and out of the corn patch instead of driving through.
So if you see us rolling through the night with a wagon full of sweet corn and boots covered in mud, just know we're doing our best to stay afloat!
Fresh corn doesn't pick itself.
🚜🌽💦

Come see us at Wabash Farmers Market tomorrow rain or shine 8a-noon.
If we run out of corn tomorrow at the market we will also be taking orders for more as we have plenty more ready to pick for those big canning and freezing orders!

🥕🌽🐔 Ever wonder what happens to the extra produce from our market?
Of course, we enjoy plenty of it ourselves and preserve some for the winter months. But when we still have more than we can use, our ladies get a special treat!
Fresh vegetables and garden goodies become a nutritious snack for our hens, and they happily turn those farm-fresh treats into the protein-packed eggs you enjoy each week whether by purchasing eggs or our made-from-scratch baked goods. ❤️
It's one of the many ways we reduce waste, care for our flock, and provide wholesome food for our community.

We considered making a sweet corn pie to follow up the zucchini pie...
Then we remembered nobody wants to wait that long to eat corn. 😄
This sweet corn is fresh-picked, crisp, juicy, and about as close to summer perfection as it gets. Whether you're grilling it, boiling it, or eating it standing over the sink with butter dripping down your arm, this is the corn you've been waiting for.
Stop by Grizzle Farms before today's picking disappears!
🌽 Fresh-picked daily🌽 Local-grown🌽 Sweet as can be
Who else thinks the first ear of sweet corn is one of the best bites of summer?
