Angola… we need to talk.
Tucked right here in our own backyard is The 6 on James home to the largest bourbon selection in the country. Yes. The country. 🥃 You know one larger? Prove me wrong.
Whether you’re a seasoned bourbon collector or someone who just learned the difference between neat and on the rocks, this place is an experience. The wall of bottles alone is enough to make you feel like you’ve stepped into a bourbon library curated by someone who truly understands the craft.
But here’s what surprised me…
They also make an exceptional martini.
And listen — a good martini is deceptively hard to execute. It’s simple. It’s clean. There’s nowhere to hide. The balance has to be right, the chill has to be perfect, and the pour has to be intentional. When it’s done well, you know immediately.
The 6 on James? They nail it.
It’s elevated without being pretentious. It’s impressive without trying too hard. It feels like something you’d expect in a big city — except it’s right here in Angola.
