From our eggs-periment (experiment) book, we learned a 258 lb man can walk on eggs without breaking them. This is due to weight distribution and the arched shape of the egg shell. We were able to place a pretty big book stack on these eggs without breaking them!

We decided to move our quail today and determine gender. Man, we had pretty bad luck with this hatch. 9 females and 22 males. Not even close to 50/50. 🙈 The females will be our egg layers. We'll keep enough males for breeding purposes and the rest of the males will go to a new home. We'll fill the incubator in August and try again.
