Oh the joys of gardening. Due to a deer hoping our fence and helping himself to our garden, we will not have any form of peppers this year. No bell peppers, hot peppers or jalepeno. He ate all of our plants 😞. We are super sad to announce this.

But we will have the following in the next few weeks:

Tomatoes
Corn
Potatoes
Squash
Celery
Cabbage
Egg plant
Watermelon
Pumpkin
Fresh herbs

Still plenty of fresh produce.

One of our favorite things to do with fresh cucumbers from the garden is make a cucumber sandwhich.
Mix together butter, cream cheese, onion powder, dill, salt and pepper to your taste preference. Spread on bread of your choice. And top with sliced cucumber. Such a yummy lunch that will cool you off from the heat and hydrate you!

We notice that cucumbers don’t do well in the heat on the stand so we would like to keep them cool inside. If you would like to purchase message our page and let us know how many. We will stick them in a bag with your name on it in our cooler located on the stand with our eggs in it.

You may have noticed us be a little less active on here and our stand be a little less full. That’s because our family grew by one this past January and the Mrs. Has been busy learning how to be a mama of two. We appreciate your understanding and we are still open. Just wanted to make a PSA post to this community. If you need food, if you are hungry and seriously have nothing to eat we will be more then happy to give you a donation from our garden. You can private message this page and we would be more then willing to help you out.

You do not need to steal. You do not need to pry open our money box and take what is not yours. I promise you, all that work will only earn you a few dollars as we empty it twice a day because of people like you. By stealing that money and produce you are taking food off of our table, money away from saving for our sons education & resource away from the community for available produce not grown with chemicals.

Again if you truly are hungry we will give you a donation and help you find the resources in our community that are set up and ready for your assistance.

We are a family run operation and spend hours tending to our chickens and garden to make the stand possible. We aren’t a multi million dollar cooperation that can supplement when you steal from us.

As of today we do have a camera set up on the booth and you will be criminally prosecuted if you choose to steal again.

We’ve got a ton of messages asking about corn and tomatoes 🍅 🌽

Don’t worry they are coming ! Both have grown really well this year. We just planted late so they are just now ripening. We believe we still have a good two-three weeks before they will be ready.

We also have had a really good watermelon crop come in and they too will be on the stand in a few weeks.

Garden/stand update:

We apologize for not having eggs out this past week. The high wind keeps knocking over our temporary egg container breaking the eggs in the process.

Mr. Stump is working on building a more permanent structure and hope to have it up and running this Sunday. Will update when eggs are out.

We will have fresh produce out soon. Zucchini, variety of peppers and tomatoes, sweet corn & pole beans all just a few weeks from harvest.

We have a temporary replacement cooler out for your convenience of self serve! 2 dozen currently available.

We are working to create a more secure stand after some of our canned items and egg cart were stollen yesterday. We will have canned items available as soon as we figure that all out.

We are devastated to say sometime last night our egg cart was stolen along with our cash box and 3 dozen eggs

It would have taken our entire summers worth of egg sales to cover the cost of that cart. We do not make a ton of money from our stand but enough to cover the cost of our feed for our chickens. By taking this cart that individual is quite literally taking food from our table. Not to mention is taking away a source to our community to have access to free range non gmo eggs.

Unfortunately our security camera did not catch the theft. So we don’t have high expectations of receiving it back.

We are sad that a person in our community felt the need to perform such an evil act but we know that there are so many other good citizens out there. Thank you so much for your support of our stand.

Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing eggs. We hope to have a new egg box out soon. We apologize for the inconvenience.
