Harvest 2026, through the eyes and boots of Mark Neal. 🍇

A long and rewarding vintage.

Following a warm winter with plenty of rain, bud break came at the end of February. Not the earliest I’ve seen, but a reminder of how involved Mother Nature is in growing w**e.

An unseasonably warm to hot March moved the vines forward to pollination in April. It was more than April showers: cloudy skies and rain throughout the month. The rain upset pollination and cut our crop anywhere from 10 to 70 percent. From mid-May the vintage settled into its typical rhythm: morning fog, warm to hot days.

We started picking the earlier varieties at the end of July and expect to finish this week.

Fermentations are still going (I love that smell), and of course some has already gone down to barrel. The quality outweighs everything Mother Nature took in quantity.

This year tested decades of farming. I’ll be watching the 2026 w**es evolve in my caves over the next 12 to 18 months, and talking about them for a long time after.

A cooler season. A patient harvest. A vintage worth the wait.

The 2023 vintage announced itself with a rare February snow that blanketed the mountains of Napa Valley. The full season stayed cool all the way through the end of harvest. Patience is key, and experienced w**emakers know this. A cool, drawn-out season teaches patience, especially if you have never lived through one. The w**es reap the rewards in true elegance and balance.

From our certified Organic, Biodynamic, and Regenerative Organic Certified estate, these new 2023 Cabernet Sauvignons are a true expression of the mountain and valley soils they came from. One of the most anticipated Napa vintages in years, and our family name is on every bottle.

There's a new face in the tasting room!
Welcome, Trent. 🍇

A fourth-generation Californian, born and raised in St. Helena, with family roots in Rutherford dating back to 1912. Trent joins us as Director of Hospitality after a career that has touched nearly every corner of this business: farming, w**emaking, hospitality, and sales.

He started just down the road in Rutherford in the late '90s, a stone's throw from our Rutherford Dust vineyard. Some things come full circle.

Like any traditionally full method sparkling w**e, our One & Only Blanc de Blanc benefits from time. A few years of aging allows the w**e to develop deeper depth, texture an additional character — reaching the potential we intended from the vineyard forward.

For us, age ability begins with how we farm. Certified organic farming is not separate from w**emaking; it is part of the character of the w**e. Mother Nature gives us the vintage, and our job is to follow her lead.

We do not make w**es simply for immediate release. We carefully craft a w**e with patience never rush it through. We hold w**es back and give them the cellar time they deserve, and you cannot rush what takes time to develop.

From the vineyard, through the cellar, to the years spent aging in bottle, the One & Only reflects the way we have always approached w**e at Neal Family Vineyards: farm with intention, make it with integrity, and give it the time it needs. The One & Only label pays homage to my parents and their timeless love story.

Neal Family Vineyards has been committed to generational farming, from soil to bottle for six decades.

That commitment extends well beyond the vineyard and cellar. It continues in the way we welcome guests at the door, carefully pack each box, follow every delivery, and serve as a personal concierge for our w**es. Keeping each step close has been passed down through generations and allows us to remain connected to the w**e throughout its entire journey.

For us, certified organic farming is not a trend. It has been a lifelong commitment since 1984, protecting our soils, our environment, and the future of the land. In 2007, we brought that commitment full circle by producing certified organic w**es, extending that care from the vineyard to the consumer.

Summer is not only for white w**e.

A well-made Cabernet has a place at the summer table, especially when the grill is going. Our 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon brings together fruit from Rutherford and Howell Mountain, balancing generous dark fruit with the structure and freshness to stand alongside summer barbecue.

Awarded 94 points by W**e Enthusiast, the w**e opens with black cherry, black currant and blackberry, layered with star anise, espresso, clove and cedar. Firm, supportive tannins carry through to a long, dry finish.

Open it early, give it some air, and serve it with grilled steak, ribs, lamb—or simply a long evening around the table.

Farming matters. Place matters. And in the end, the proof is in the bottle.
