We offer farm eggs, produce, sourdough, gluten-free baked goods, preserves, and gifts.

Our new product for the week is built just for parents surviving the first week of school. You’ve dealt with the chaos of the mornings, the tired crankiness of the evenings, the adjusting back to the school schedule. You deserve a moment of feeling like you’re on a beach somewhere. Enter the Toasted Coconut Lime Bars, which taste like Jimmy Buffett himself made them (I don’t know if he can even bake). We are only going to do a limited run of these, so if they sound like the perfect beachy get away, come grab a pan! As always, we are located at nw 88th lane in Ankeny, and are open Thursday through Saturday, 7:30-7:30.

We sold out on a THURSDAY before 4 pm. Y’all are amazing. So we’ve completely restocked with the exception of the soft pretzels. The yeast didn’t rise so we will make a new batch tonight to go out tomorrow. Come shop state fair week today and tomorrow at nw 88th lane in Ankeny, from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm through Saturday!

It’s state fair week! I don’t know about you, but it’s always such a bummer to go to the fair and not be able to eat anything (except destination grille- that’s a must!). So we are bringing a sampling of fair foods for this week only to the stand to bring back some of that culinary joy!

Little sneak peek of what’s rolling out in the stand tomorrow! For the next two weekends we are having state fair week for all our gluten free baked goods! What does that mean? So many of those amazing classics everyone gets to eat at the fair that gluten intolerant folks just stare at longingly: we are making them. We have to follow cottage laws, so you’re not going to see something like corn dogs. But we are pulling out some recipes that are right from state fair cookbooks, only made gf so you can enjoy with everyone else!

The inventory manager, financial manager, and Mr. Fixit. That’s too many injuries for one head baker to juggle while running two businesses. 😮‍💨 On Thursday the inventory manager is having surgery on her arm, so we will be closed, but hoping to open for Friday and Saturday on account of having time to bake after surgery! Thanks for all your support and grace as we manage life amidst running this show!
