as promised! Highlighting the humble onion this week 😎

Items used from our csa basket:
onions
Swiss chard
red peppers
garlic

Items needed:
protein
Rice
tomato paste
spices and herbs

Traditionally this dish would be a very simple preparations with beef or lamb and rice. I wanted a deeper flavor profile so added some extra things to it. You could also do a vegan version with white beans or lentils as a protein.

hello country valley members 😎 I hope that you are all loving this crisp fall weather! Our member shares are starting to reflect the change in temperatures so as we officially close our summer you will see some hardy varieties as well as say goodbye to summer varieties.

This week we have a great range of veggies and foods. Here is what we shared with you all this week:

Hello and welcome if this is your first time seeing our posts 🙌🏼 we are currently in week 17 of our seasonal csa membership and are currently accepting new members 🙌🏼

If you have been on the fence or need more information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. There are countless reasons to join, but here are a few:

Supporting local farms is a great way to boost our immediate, local economy. Farms have been growing food consistently for centuries, and helping to continue local agriculture is essential.

Organic farming is in the next echelon of food. We have worked for years to get organic certification and thank everyone who helped us along the way. Eating organic food and whole food is an immunity booster as well as just a step towards mindful consumption.

You are also supporting a thriving ecosystem. More members mean more plants which means more bees and more life! You can help preserve and conserve our earth.

Less waste! We deliver our food right to you free of plastics and packaging (with a few exceptions) which cuts down on waste and pollution.
