🐄 Meet Maxine - one of the true legends of Vestergaard Farms.
At 14 years old, Maxine has a story that’s woven into the very fabric of our farm.

She was born on Max’s birthday, the son of Vestergaard Farms owner, Mike. From the very beginning, Max took her under his wing, and the bond they’ve shared has been something truly special ever since.

As if she knew the significance of the day, Maxine recently welcomed another calf…on Max’s birthday once again.

Over the years, Maxine has become one of the foundation cows of our herd, with many of today’s cattle tracing their lineage back to her. Her legacy will continue for generations.

Now, we’re excited to announce that Maxine is officially retiring! 🎉
From now on, she’ll spend her days grazing peacefully and enjoying what she loves most - receiving pets and attention from the children and adults who visit the farm. You’ll be able to find her near the front of the farm, where she’ll happily greet visitors.

Maxine isn’t just another cow - she’s family. She’s part of the heart and history of Vestergaard Farms, and we couldn’t love her more.
Be sure to stop by and give this very special girl some well-deserved scratches and love. ❤️

🥚 Farm-fresh Amish eggs are in stock at Vestergaard Farms!

One of our favorite parts of the week is when customers stop in and stay for a chat. One of our regulars visits every two weeks to pick up Farmer Andy’s eggs because, in her words, “They’re the best!”

Her photo says it all: the egg in the top photo is an organic egg from a local grocery store, the bottom egg is from a specialty grocery store - and Farmer Andy’s eggs are the beautiful, farm-fresh standard she keeps coming back for. Known for their deep-dark yellow to orange yolks, sturdy shells and rich flavor, these eggs come from hens raised on small, family-owned Amish farms.

Stop by and bring home a dozen while they’re in stock!
