We have a bit of honey for sale at MoonWinks Cafe in Dixboro. 1 lb glass jars are available for $10 off a display at the west end of the cafe dining area. This is winter surplus honey the was harvested in Mid May from overwintered hives and has a great flavor reflecting late fall nectars.

We are pleased to announce that we have honey for sale! This honey was recovered from bee hives whose bees did not make it through our peculiar late winter weather. Too many several day warm ups got the bees to abandon their cluster and then rush to recluster when the winter temps returned. The honey was still OK so we took the frames and collected then bottled the honey in pint jars. It's available at Moon Winks coffee shop in Dixboro, Mi, and also from our farm house at 5846 Becky Lane, Dixboro, MI. $15/pint. I hope you get some before it sells out!

We once again have honey from our bees! Winter remainder as well as Summer Solstice honey is available in pint jars for $15 each. We also have 15+ oz comb-honey sections in hard plastic boxes, also for $15. They are all on the front porch bench at our house located at 5846 Becky Lane. Please ring the doorbell since we’d love to visit with you. If we’re not there, please put your payment in the lidded metal tin can. Jars of honey are also available at both Argus Farmstop locations in Ann Arbor.

We have pint jars of Winter Remainder honey now for sale at Argus. “Where did that come from?”, you may ask.

We lost many bee hives last winter mostly because I (Dick) didn’t compress them into fewer hive bodies last fall as I should have done well before freezing temps arrived. Many frames of honey were still in these hives but not close enough for the bee clusters to reach during the winter. Sad outcome but the remaining capped honey was available for harvest, so that’s what’s available now. It’s darker and somewhat thicker than spring honey and has a great flavor from fall nectar and pollen.

We do have one winter survivor hive, so are not totally wiped out plus I have 2 packages of new bees arriving in April.

Time to start rebuilding the Apiary!

We are almost out of honey for sale from our front porch. we have 5 pints ($12 each), 7 half pints ($6.50 each) and 2 comb sections ($14.00 each) left. We’ll be taking any remaining supply to Argus Farmstop next Monday, so get yours at the farm soon!

Honey from our farm is once again available at our farm (5846 Becky Lane; Becky goes west off of Vorhies between Warren and Joy and our driveway is the third one on the left). We have pints and half-pints of 2023 Solstice Delight honey from hives, as well as boxed Comb Honey that was made by our bees this spring. Both have honey that's light and spring-herbal flavored. We'll be selling from our front porch at the farm for a week or so before taking any remaining supplies to Argus Farmstop. We'd love to visit with you if you come for to the farm it. Also, if you have empty glass standard canning jars, bring them to us for 50 cents per returned and undamaged jar. Hope to see you soon!

Honey from our farm is now available at both Argus Farmstop locations as well as at our farm. We have pints of Winter Remainder honey from hives that did not survive the winter but still had honey reserves, as well as boxed Comb Honey that was made by our bees this summer. The winter honey is dark and very flavorful whereas the comb honey is light and spring-herbal flavored. Let us know if you would like some! We'll be selling from our front porch at the farm and would love to visit with you when you come for it.

Deep thanks to everyone who sent their love to us and shared our grief when learning of Phoebe's passing over the Rainbow Bridge last week. Seeing your many comments was a trip down memory lane, which brought tears to my eyes remembering Phoebe and also remembering you! Thank you for loving our farm and thank you for loving Phoebe. I almost think she had more friends than Dick and I have!
