The fields are lush with produce and we’re so excited about all of the fresh goodness we’re harvesting for you! Here’s a glimpse into 5 crops we’re harvesting this week (among many others)!

🌱 Basil - Our first basil harvest of the season! The aroma has taken over our barn and has us dreaming of tomato season!

🌱 Napa Cabbage - Our long awaited Napa cabbage is sized up and ready to head to your kitchen! Maybe some kimchi is on your next home cooked menu ;)

🌱 Flowers - We’re starting to send flower bouquets to the Ann Arbor and Farmington farmers markets!

🌱 Radishes - A classic Spring staple! We can’t get enough of buttered radishes, radish sandwiches, radish garnishes, you name it!

🌱 Head Lettuce - Our fields are flush with all sorts of head lettuces! Current stars of the show are romaine, green leaf, and red butter!

🌼 Farm Stand Updates 🌼

🌼 We’ve expanded our staffed hours for high season! Our self-serve hours remain the same. Here’s our schedule -

Staffed: Thursday-Saturday 9am-6pm (ish)
Self-Serve: Everyday 8am-8pm

🌼We’re expanding days! You can now find bread in the stand on Thursdays, Fridays, AND Saturdays! Breads are out and ready to head home with you by 10:30am on those days!

🌼We’re running a seedling sale! Buy 20 GTFC seedlings and get $10 off your purchase!

Our stand keeps getting better and better as the season progresses, we hope to see you soon!

This is our fan-favorite greens mix - a blend of Salanova lettuce that provides all of the fresh, buttery, flavorful elements you look for in a great lettuce mix!

We’re kicking off the 2026 growing season with electrifying tomato red and soothing sage green GTFC tees! Printed on organic cotton by the one and only !

We also released a limited run of “vintage” Land Loom tees! The Land Loom joined Ann Arbor Seed Company and Green Things Farm in 2020 to create our current business - Green Things Farm Collective! The Land Loom was the original home of our Salad Club Membership, which so many folks still enjoy today! It’s so special to remember our roots and honor the continued influence of Hannah Weber (current GTFC co-owner and co-founder) and The Land Loom on our farm!

Whew! What a HUGE week for our farm!!

This week we gained our full high season crew! It’s so exciting to reunite with old friends and welcome new folks to our team! Overnight we went from 19 employees to almost 30 (many special faces still missing from this photo)! So excited to all that is to come!

In addition, we’re deep in preparation for our biggest event of the year - our Annual Plant Sale and Makers Market!! Join in the fun this Saturday May 9th from 9am-1pm!

🍅 TOMATOES! 🍅 ARE! 🍅 IN! 🍅

One of this week’s big plantings - the tomato hoop!! It’s so exciting to think about what these plants will look like days, weeks, and months from now. What currently looks like a nearly empty hoop will soon be bursting with green vines and pops of color. We’re already dreaming about the taste of the first tomato of the season!

We plant tomatoes and basil together because they are companion plants. Our tomatoes grow and taste better when they’re together! The tomato hoop is also one of the very few places on the farm we use landscape fabric, and we find it helpful to create conditions that ensure our tomato plants produce lots of fruits for you this season! We can’t wait!
