A dozen years ago, my niece gifted me a Pirate Bobblehead, while exclaiming, "We are Pirates because we're MaHARRGS!"--stressing the last syllable for effect. Shortly thereafter, I ran with that newly acquired moniker and made a holiday hot pepper sauce for family and friends that I branded as a Pirate Sauce. Thereupon, buoyed by good reviews and no ill effects reported by any of my relatives or peeps, Crow's Nest Foods was born!

Now, after eight and half years in Ann Arbor creating and producing three distinct sauces, pepper-infused cookies and a dry chipotle spice mix, my company is moving its operations to Michigan Center. It has been a rewarding experience to manufacture my products amongst a community dedicated to the local food movement and whose members have always shown me loving support and encouraging words. This relocation to a bigger, full-time kitchen will enable me to expand my operations and increase my product reach.

However, this is not a good-bye as I'll still reside in Ann Arbor and attend the Farmer's Market every Saturday. Instead, it's a continuing voyage through the channels of opportunity; plus a chance to discover new places and people. which makes unchartered journeys so rewarding. Thanks to all me mates who have helped me embark onto this sea-worthy adventure and continue to throw me life-lines when needed.
