Another piece of the puzzle falling into place 🍻

Timothy “TGrass” Hodgkiss is joining Slow Coast as our Taproom General Manager, bringing 27 years of hospitality experience and a passion for exceptional b**r, w**e, spirits, food, and service.

He’s teaming up with an incredible lineup of Ann Arbor industry all-stars to help bring a new vision to a familiar local favorite.

We’re getting closer, and we’re excited to have TGrass on board for what’s ahead. 🤩

Good coffee takes time. So does ours. We directly source, & natural-process, heirloom beans from Ethiopia’s Shakisso Station and have them roasted locally to precise specifications. The beans are slowly cold brewed in-house until they release rich notes of chocolate, cherry, apricot, and almond, then blended with cane sugar and fine Midwest grain spirit. No heat, no rush. Smooth over ice, shaken into a martini, or sipped on its own after dinner. ✨

Some you collect. Some collect you.
Our love of american wh***ey led us to seek out the finest barrels available and introduce them to michigan- its water, its woods, its slower way of doing things. This wh***ey is aged five years, proofed with soft mineral water from a remote lake superior spring, and blended in small batches of three to five barrels. Slowland is what happens when great wh***ey meets the place we love. 🥃❤️‍🔥

Hey folks, we’ve been blown away by all the excitement about opening!

“You’re really putting the Slow in Slow Coast”. We heard you, and we appreciate it. But like the cans say: the coast isn’t a place, it’s a pace.

Thanks for your patience and support, truly. We’re working hard to bring you something special, very soon.

These four varieties will kick off our packaging lineup, available in six-packs in the taproom at launch (and on draft, obviously). It’s just the start, and we’ll have around twelve taps and a myriad of styles available from day one.

We hosted Jake Dwyer this week to bring the Slow Coast facility to life.

Jake is a Twin Cities painter & muralist trained at MCAD, who spent 9 years building his craft in Detroit and has some great pieces around our town as well.

We’re truly honored to add another piece to Ann Arbor’s collection of Jake’s work!

We’ve got a lot more coming your way very soon, Ann Arbor - can’t wait to get this thing going! 🍻
