Hey folks, we’ve been blown away by all the excitement about opening!

“You’re really putting the Slow in Slow Coast”. We heard you, and we appreciate it. But like the cans say: the coast isn’t a place, it’s a pace.

Thanks for your patience and support, truly. We’re working hard to bring you something special, very soon.

These four varieties will kick off our packaging lineup, available in six-packs in the taproom at launch (and on draft, obviously). It’s just the start, and we’ll have around twelve taps and a myriad of styles available from day one.

Any requests?!?!

We hosted Jake Dwyer this week to bring the Slow Coast facility to life.

Jake is a Twin Cities painter & muralist trained at MCAD, who spent 9 years building his craft in Detroit and has some great pieces around our town as well.

We’re truly honored to add another piece to Ann Arbor’s collection of Jake’s work!

We’ve got a lot more coming your way very soon, Ann Arbor - can’t wait to get this thing going! 🍻

Meet our pizza man, Andrew! 🍕

With 18 years of experience in some of Ann Arbor’s favorite kitchens- Andrew has spent nearly two decades perfecting the craft. From mixing dough and hand-stretching pies to dialing in the perfect bake.

At Slow Coast, the menu he’s building will be focused on quality ingredients, local sourcing whenever possible, and pizzas worth coming back for. His goal? To make you love pizza as much as he does.

And yes... he’s working hard on recreating the beloved nachos.

The beer is in great hands!

We’re proud to introduce Bryan Wiggs, aka Wiggs, as our Director of Brewing Operations.

With 23 years of brewing experience, he will lead all beer production and recipe development for Slow Coast, including carrying forward Wolverine State Brewing Company’s core offerings as part of the transition.

Many know him from his years at Dark Horse Brewing, where he developed beers that became cult classics and Michigan craft-beer staples across the Midwest and beyond — catapulting Dark Horse to being one of the top 5 breweries in beer production in Michigan (not to mention a starring role in the History Channel’s show, Dark Horse Nation).

Wiggs’ brewing journey started in the early days of Arcadia Ales, and later took him to Arbor Brewing Company in Goa, India. Most recently, he was entrusted with his late friend and mentor’s sour beer holdings and production at Dexter’s Jolly Pumpkin Brewery.

We’re honored that he’ll be bringing his passion, creativity, and decades of experience to every pint brewed at Slow Coast,and we can’t wait for you to taste what he’s been

Meet the mind behind the still. 🥃

Say hello to Robyn Cleveland, our Head Distiller.

After 16 years behind the bar, Robyn discovered a passion for distilling and recipe creation. What started as a love for one spirit grew into years of experimenting, refining, and chasing the perfect pour.

About eight years ago, Robyn and his wife founded Norden Spirits, building a strong reputation for thoughtfully crafted, small-batch botanical spirits with a focus on high quality & local ingredients.

Now, we’re thrilled to have him leading the program here at Slowcoast! He’s already created our Slow Roast coffee liquor (with locally sourced coffee), Paw Paw Rum (made with Michigan paw paw), Slowland Bourbon (proofed with Lake Superior spring water) and more to come by way of Gins, Vodkas, Amaro, and liqueurs of all varieties.

We couldn’t be more excited to have him on our team! Cheers 🍻
