During the extreme cold days our livestock always gets a warm treat of oatmeal, cinnamon, strawberries, carrots, and celery added to their regular winter diet of organic hay, trace minerals, and grains. This lets them know we care about them even more. Our hen has not stopped laying and her yolks are as dark yellow as ever.
