“If you want to heal, go help someone”
Someone said this to me two days after funeral services for our son. That was not the first time I’d heard that, but it certainly made a bigger impact than ever before. We lost Justin in 2017 to su***de after a long battle with addiction. Bereaved, we began to seek ways to help others in effort to hopefully help ourselves as well. We attended and spoke at dif

ferent events and we hosted fundraisers for different charities. Whether it was su***de prevention, or advocating for addiction and mental health, nothing truly felt like the right fit for us to genuinely make a difference. We were going through the motions but not actually helping others or ourselves much in the process. We had lost the most precious person in our lives and grappling to make sense of what we were supposed to do to not only survive, but to thrive after our son’s death. Admittedly, RBW Farm did not start out as our path to do that. We didn’t know when we started our little hobby farm that it would actually help us reclaim our faith and have hope once again. We knew something about it was special when we found our first Llama to add to the farm. She was a beautiful 7 year old, pregnant llama named JUSTINE. We knew then we were on a special path and this was exactly what we were supposed to be doing. Day by Day as we do all the thing that the farm requires, the feeling of Justin’s presence is very strong for us. Each day we find more peace, serenity and well-being. We truly believe animals have a sense of the struggles we all face and the unconditional love they offer is one of the most healing experiences there is. We’ve definitely experienced that true healing here. Our animals have caught millions of our tears and consoled us on our darkest days. As we continue to heal, we know we have to share what these amazing animals have done for us, with others. They’ve put genuine smiles on our faces and it’s our hope they do the same for you. Beginning Monday, June 8, we'll be moving to our Summer Hours schedule for June and July! ☀️🦙

Whether you're planning a family outing, looking for a unique animal experience, or just want to spend some time with our amazing farm family, we'd love to see you this summer.

📅 Guided Tours & Specialty Animal Encounters

Appointments are required for all guided tours and specialty animal encounters.
From llamas and alpacas to goats, pigs, mini horses, and more, there's always something waiting to make you smile.

If you haven’t heard back from us this week, don’t worry… we’ve been up to our eyeballs in fluff. 😂

Our annual alpaca spa day is officially underway, and we sheared over 50 lbs of fleece off our fluffy babies! They’re feeling lighter, cooler, and probably a little offended by their new hairstyles.

Basically, the farm currently looks like a pillow exploded.
