Ever wonder what your Christmas tree is doing in the middle of summer? 🌲✂️

It’s shearing season!

Right now, we’re out in the fields giving each tree its annual “haircut.” Shearing helps shape every tree into that full, classic Christmas tree you’ve been dreaming of for your living room. It’s one of the most important jobs of the year—and it takes years of care to grow the perfect tree.

So while you’re soaking up the sunshine, we’re always thinking about Christmas. ❤️🎄

Spring has sprung here on the tree farm, and the trees are pushing lots of beautiful new growth! 🌲 We’re thankful the recent frost damage doesn’t seem to be too widespread. The Concolor firs are looking a little shaggy right now, and the Blue Spruce are definitely living up to their name! 💙

The grass is growing fast, which means lots of mowing ahead — but with views like these all around us, it’s hard not to enjoy the work. There’s so much beauty in this season on the farm! ☀️

A day late, but never missing the meaning 🌲

Happy (belated) Arbor Day from all of us at Hossler Christmas Tree Farm. 🎄

This time of year is one of our favorites—budding season 2026 is officially underway. There’s something special about seeing that fresh, bright green growth reaching for the sun… a reminder of what’s to come.

But if there’s one thing farming teaches you, it’s this: sometimes things don’t go as planned.

Last week’s freezing temperatures took a toll and knocked out some of that new growth. It’s tough to see, especially after months of care and anticipation. While we truly love what we do, it’s not as simple as putting trees in the ground and watching them grow. We are thankful God spared us from its being much worse. There’s a lot of faith, patience, and resilience behind every single tree. 🌲

Another successful planting day for the 2026 season is in the books 🌲

There’s nothing better than seeing those trees finally in the ground. It takes a full crew and a full day—from planting to stepping each one into place.

It’s pretty special to think that one day, these very trees could be standing in your living room, filled with lights, ornaments, and Christmas memories 🎄

We’re so grateful for days like this and the hands that make it all happen. Praying God blesses this planting season with strong growth and a beautiful year ahead

Spring is in full swing here at Hossler Christmas Tree Farm 🌲

We’ve been busy digging arborvitaes and giving all our trees a fresh boost with fertilizer to set them up for a strong, healthy growing season. It’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work now for those beautiful, full trees later 🌲

This is where the magic really starts—sunshine, fresh soil, and a whole lot of care.

Stay tuned… Planting this year’s seedlings comes next ✨
