Why was I up at midnight prepping breakfast?
Because apparently, the only time I get to bake without someone licking the spoon or starting a flour fight is when the house is dead silent and the moon is judging me.

Last night’s midnight masterpiece? Sourdough banana blueberry nut bread — because why make one type of bread when you can combine all of them into one glorious loaf of magic? It’s part breakfast, part snack, part bribe to get the kids to do their chores.

With a herd of kids running around (seriously, I think we’ve reached “small village” status), mornings are chaos with a side of syrup. If I don’t prep ahead, breakfast turns into a game of “Who ate the last granola bar?” and “Can we have pickles for breakfast?” (Real question. Real child. Still recovering.)

So there I was, measuring flour by moonlight, pureeing bananas like some kind of kitchen witch, and praying the blueberries didn’t roll off the counter. The bread turned out great, though—tangy, sweet, and nutty… just like me by 7 a.m.

Hey, y'all!!

I figured I would go ahead and get a page setup and let everyone start joining while I get everything else going. I'm really excited for this journey for my family, and wanted a place to share the things I learn with others. I will be offering products for sale: pretty much anything sourdough you can think of, condiments, homemade cooking spices, you name it. But I will also be sharing recipes, how to's, ideas and knowledge that I come across as well!

Just know, this is going to be real life. My house is most likely messy, you'll probably hear a kid (or 9) yelling in videos, my husband LOVES to interrupt me and make me lose my train of thought. But it's those things that I hope will set me apart from other pages. I'm a real life mom, with real life struggles (and victories). If I can do it in our home, you can too!
