The obvious question is ...
where else can we get them? Unfortunately, nowhere.

I had, and still do have all intentions on continuing to supply them, just as I am continuing to supply the Merckens melting chocolate.

However, the company/manufacturer, has stopped producing them until ...
MARCH of 2021!!!

I was told they were concentrating on another one of their confections. Questioning the information from my distributor, I contacted the company myself, and I am sad to say it is so.

Little old Tidmarsh’s went through about 300lbs at Eastertime, and our distributor went through about 30,000 lbs. Therefore it was in our distributors best interest to try to find a bean as comparable to “the good ones”

Of course there’s nothing that will ever be “as good“, but they were able to come pretty darn close. So far the customers that have sampled them, have ordered them.

If you are interested, please reach out (via calling or texting), and I will either take your order, or try to get a sample to you to compare and decide yourself.

The shop in Ansonia is now closed, however Merckens Melting Chocolate is still available by calling Laurie at 203-394-3822.

Also, orders for chocolate items that can still be taken.
*Dipped Strawberries
*Chocolate Covered Pretzels
*Chocolate Covered Oreos
*Chocolate and or
Caramel Chocolate Apples
*Most specific chocolate novelties

I hope to eventually start taking orders for sugar or iced cut-out cookies, dessert cupcakes, and some pies, (primarily creams), but until then, and for cakes and all other bakery items, I strongly recommend:

This is where all the holiday strips have been made ... (before and after Roy’s passing), Nut, Poppy, Cheese, & Prune. (and he has a few other fillings available).

Also, these past four years I have been hearing nothing good from customers as to where they were purchasing their Babka, and how dry, and or flavorless they were. Unfortunately, Roy has taken his “combined recipe formulation ” with the amazing cheese filling ... with him. Although yet to find one comparable, Icing on The Cake has a delicious Babka, and offers several variations, so I suggest you give them a try.

This has been, and will continue to be my go to Bakery. (As it was also Roy’s)

Happy New Year

The actual shop will be closed until Wednesday January 9th,
at that time resuming to our regular hours.

(Wed,Thu,Fri. 12:30-4:30)
(Sat, 11:00-3:00)

However we are still filling and taking cake, cookie, and candy orders for the days the shop is closed. We can also set a time to meet you there should you just need to pick up supplies.

This is a great “guy” gift for the hard to get for. Also makes a nice host/hostess gift alone, or with a cookie tray or a box of our truffles.
