We are very tardy with our note of appreciation to Annamaria Sims for one of our best clinics ever - horse/human connection - that we hosted two weeks ago. Life got in the way of posting this earlier, but please note that everyone has been talking about that day, using the tools we learned about, and connecting with our horses unlike any time before. Annamaria Sims is an extraordinary clinician and professional. We are so fortunate to have her working regularly on many of our horses here at Brighton! Horse connection was not only made at the clinic, but it was quite a spiritual and emotional experience as well! So much wonderful information and knowledge shared! We are hoping to arrange another clinic over the winter or int the spring if Annamaria has availability so stay tuned! Again, we are ever so grateful for the experience! Thank you, Annamaria!

CLINIC AUGUST 16TH WITH ANNAMARIA SIMS AT BRIGHTON FARM! GRAB YOUR SPOT!!

And just how well DO you CONNECT to your horse?? Come join us for an enlightening and fun clinic with Annamaria Sims (Strengthen the Saddle) on August 16th! There are limited horse/human spots available and unlimited audit spots available! Details below. Day stalls are available for a $25 fee. Lunch is included with both clinic and audit spots. SUNDAY FUNDAY! EQUISCOUTS THIS WEEKEND!! Calling all horse crazy kids (and large kids aka horse crazy adults)!! Come join in a learning 'bout horses experience! Our equiscouts program is a free once a month program - we meet for two hours from 2-4pm and learn how to safely work with and around horses, learn about their care, their jobs, and just plain learn about them as animals and friends! We welcome anyone who wants to learn and meet them up close and personal - as they assist us in our monthly discussion topics. We also welcome experienced horse peeps as everyone can always learn something new! Safety is stressed! Sometimes we have guest speakers, trivia, games, but we always have time with our horses! Our equiscout program is almost 20 years old and we have had many members come in and leave with lifetime knowledge about our equine friends! It is a drop in program, so there is no commitment to anything - just come and spend a few hours learning and having fun with other horse crazy friends! MESSAGE FOR OUR EQUISCOUTS (OLD AND NEW)!

At our 2026 orientation meeting tomorrow (Sunday, February 22nd), we will be discussing our Equiscout program and activities, deciding on our 2026 monthly topics, and meeting and greeting our discussion leaders, new friends and equine assistants! Our topic tomorrow is A Day in the Life of a Horse and how we fit in it - from the horse's point of view. There will be discussion, questions, horse handling, barn roaming, and much talk about safety! All done in a fun and casual environment! Remember our meeting runs from 2-4 in the afternoon at Brighton Farm. Come join the fun with horses and learn a bunch of new things!

REMINDER - EQUISCOUTS 2026 ORIENTATION MEETING TOMORROW 2-4 PM AT BRIGHTON FARM ! If you want to learn about horses, working with them and around them, and their care in a fun casual environment - come to our free program to check it out! Equiscouts is 18 years old and so many have learned so much and had a blast doing so!! No need to sign up, just show up! Even experienced horse kids/adults can always learn something! Hope to see you tomorrow !!!

IT IS 2026 - YEAR OF THE HORSE - TIME TO START OUR 2026 MEETINGS!!! Kick off 2026 by learning about horses! Our Equiscouts program starts off this coming Sunday, February 22nd from 2 to 4 in the afternoon at Brighton Farm in Antioch! The program is a free, drop in, monthly program for kids (and adults) who want to learn about horses, their care and, most importantly, how to work around them safely. We do this by lecture, speakers, activities and hands on experience with our four-legged assistants! Our meetings are held monthly with new topics and activities each month. No prior experience around horses is necessary and this is not a riding experience. We have a great time each month and hold our meetings whether we have one attendee or 30 attendees! If you are interested in these magnificent animals and want to learn - come join us! This coming meeting - our first in 2026 - is set up specifically as an orientation and welcome for new members.
