We finished up a nice little wheat harvest here at home, and have to give a huge thank you to our neighbors/clients who trusted us with their crops. It looks like we’ll have a few fields of millet ready to be swathed next week, kicking off what will hopefully be a very bountiful fall season. Now, if we could just get a couple rains to help finish filling the heads and ears...

Harvest is slowly progressing here at home. The first 10 days have been fraught with breakdowns, but we are of the mindset that better days are on the horizon. While Terry and Frenchy were busy holding down the fort over the weekend, Kerry helped lead the local high school boys basketball team to a championship in a big tournament along the front range. Temperatures are expected to be in the 90s for the better part of the next two weeks, with little to no precipitation, so there's a good chance we could be finished by the time the county fair starts on the 24th.

I noticed my post from a year ago, a few days earlier and think to myself, "it's harvest time again, except we aren't, yet." Our Texas jobs, which are our first work, droughted out. Terry knew, after going down to check on the fields, earlier, that this would be the case. So add I wrote this, Terry and Frenchy, one of our awesome workers, are in SE Colorado, looking for work. He spent the night in Lamar, so if you or anyone you know, could use a small, but good harvest crew, give us a call. Terry (970)554-1048, Charlotte (970) 554-1811. Terry works very hard to see that the work done, is good and the way you want it. Big or small, give us a call. Oh goodness, that rhymed. (Not intentional). God bless you all. Please share.

It's June already, and time for us to start cutting wheat. Actually, we could have started sooner, but we have had issues on both sides. We start in Texas and it has raineđ and rained some more, where we start. But, it ended up working out ok. We had some paperwork that had to be changed and my hubby wanted to make sure we were on the up and up with all the permits, etc., but we had an awful time finding the right department to take care of all of it. But, he's ready and itching to leave. We'd appreciate a prayer or two, if you would, that we get there safely, the wheat will be ready to cut, (dried out), & everything work out for the best. We love to stay busy. God bless you all.

Harvest time is approaching quickly. We are excited to start harvesting. We're looking for some for another job, if you're needing a harvester, give us a call or contact us here.

We are looking for a truck driver. Must have a CDL, with a good driving record. The job will not always be just driving truck, but that is primary. Must be willing to pitch in and help out with whatever needs done. Please help us find a driver. Contact us here for more info.

A new year has begun. We are so blessed! Last year was not the best we've had, but it was far from the worst. God knows our needs and every time we needed another job, big or small, He provided. I don't know if any of the farmers realized they were being used by God, to be a blessing to us or not, but either way we thank you and we thank our Father.

As we work through these winter months, Terry will be working to have everything in good shape, ready to be field ready. Right now, though, we have two precious granddaughters, that need a bedroom built on, cause they're so crowded, so Papa is treating an old house down and will use it to give them a room. Their mama, our youngest, has a rare disease and had took move home. To give them space of their own, we moved them into our "hired hand" house. Nothing fancy and definitely small. 1 bedroom and we converted the attic into a small bedroom. We're all thankful for it, but as soon as possible we need another room. Bless this hard working man of mine.

So as we move into this new year, I pray that each person that reaches this page, is blessed financially with "Enough," (we may have different ideas of how much that is, but God knows and He is a God of abundance), & Peace, Love and JOY!!!

Just wanted to thank everyone for all the pm's with anniversary wishes. We've had 46 wonderful years together. Farming has made out lives interesting, to say the least. But they've been happy years and we've been blessed. 4 beautiful children, and 5 awesome grandchildren. A life filled with the ups and downs of farming and harvesting, (which we added 10-15 years ago). The friends, church family, the people we've met, the customers, we have had the privilege of working with and for, (that we now call friends), for all of the people that we have had work for us, we truly have been blessed these 46 years. We thank you all so much, but out biggest thanks go to our heavenly Father, who has made it all possible. God bless you all with joy, peace and plenty.

Finished jobs in Texas and after a couple days on the road, we're back home. Looked for cutting on the trip home, but just didn't find anything. Lots of combines, sitting, looking for cutting, just like us. We have jobs in Colorado, close to home, that will be ready in the next week to 10 days. So, we're home, cleaning up everything, finishing going thru the other combine and header, that was not needed in TX. Ready to roll as soon as grain is gold for the harvest. We'll have some time, so if you or someone you know, are in need of a combine to help get your grain in, give us a call. We are looking for more work, we work hard to do a good job and we appreciate every acre. We don't have the biggest crew or the newest machines, but we have a good crew and we work hard to give our farmers as much grain as possible. We appreciate your consideration. God bless you and we pray for a great harvest for you, no matter who brings your grain in.

Cutting around Stamford, TX, right now. Been a lot of rain, and some jail, so are going to lose 400-500 acres to the hail and moisture. So, we'd sure like to find a few more acres in the area or from there on the way back to Kansas it in Kansas, to kind of replace those. If you know of anyone that has some wheat acres that need a harvester, give us a call, we're interested. We work for the farmer, to do the best job, possible. Call Terry--970-554-1048, Charlotte--970-554-1811 or Kerry--719-691-5920. Thanks. Have a blessed night

We are in need of a truck driver! Must have a CDL and a good driving record. We have all the combine operators that we need, but could really use a CDL driver, to free Terry up to scout and take care of the business end. We are planning on heading out to Texas the beginning of next week, starting around Stamford, Tx. I believe it's about 60 miles North of Abilene. I know they're still getting some rain and there has been hail around. So we're asking for prayers. A covering for crops, the farmers, our people, that'll be headed that way and that God will provide more jobs down in that area and back towards home. It would be good to work our way back home, literally. Thank you all, so much for your continuing prayers and for sharing us with others. God Bless You!

We are starting to think of our harvest run. We still do farming at home, but will start doing some no-till, partly in an effort to improve the land, but of course to improve yields for our landlords, also. We will be selling some of our farm equipment before long, as we will not be needing it all. Watch for our post on items for sale, possibly an auction. In the meantime, if you are needing to line up a Custom harvester for your crops, keep us in mind. God has blessed us, living and farming in beautiful Colorado, but He created other beautiful states, too. We have been fortunate to have harvested, (over the years), in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado & Montana. We are blessed & thankful!
