Fun first day of spring, HOT first day of spring. Checking on the hive first time post-winter. They survived but we could really use some rain to bring on some more spring blooms for them! 🌸🌼🐝

Doing February things. Lots of seedling started. We will have live plants for sale soon, organic medicinal and culinary herbs. Levi was helping us put up some new fencing for our chicken, run now we just need to plant some good forage for them. 🐓🌿

🍯HONEY🍯

We had our first little honey harvest yesterday from our hive. This is our second year with this hive and we were a little late in the season so just took 4 frames so they'd have plenty for winter. We ended up with almost a gallon of honey so that was exciting! The kids are plenty sweetened up now and have turned into little honey bears 🐻 🍯

Lots of apple shenanigans! Apple sauce, apple fruit rollups, apple butter, apple crisp... I think im ready for some savory apple recipes now. 😅

The kids got to do some blackberry picking with their grandparents over the weekend! We got to make some delicious blackberry cheese danish with them. Its always blood, sweat, and tears picking blackberries but so worth it! 🥵☀️ Topped the other half with the apples from my great grandmas apple tree💜💜. Mmmm delicious.
