We moved the herd to a greener pasture as part of our rotational grazing system, aannndddd welcomed in our new bull!
We still have full blooded Galloways and now we hope to have some Galloway/Hereford calves next year!
By adding in Hereford genetics to our already fantastic herd of Galloways we are hoping to up the size of our cattle; While not forfeiting quality- Hereford’s are also known for quality beef with lots of marbling. As we have registered Galloways, this Hereford is also registered- Making sure we have the best lines to offer!

We are proud to operate and raise a 98% full blooded Registered Galloway Cattle herd. We realize not everyone understand why we prefer our Galloway, so here are some quick facts and reasons to why we choose to keep a primary Galloway based herd;

🌾Galloway cattle are one of the oldest beef breeds, originating in southwestern Scotland. They’re especially valued for producing flavorful, high-quality beef

🐮They provide us with Excellent marbling- Galloway beef develops fine, even marbling, which helps make it tender and juicy without excessive external fat.
🚜They are also a Lean but flavorful beef- Compared to many commercial beef breeds, Galloway beef is often leaner while still maintaining a rich, beefy flavor.
🥩With that being said they also have a Healthier fat profile- Studies have found that grass-fed Galloway beef can contain higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids and a more favorable omega-6 to omega-3 ratio than conventionally grain-fed beef.

Spring has sprung- Which means projects can start to happen again-
1st up; A Brand New Squeeze Chute, sold by our grain supplier, Tom’s Hardware & Feed located in Waverly NY, and a big thanks to our friend Cole for helping pick up and unload this big piece of equipment!
2nd up; A new alleyway to the chute- Thank you to our friend Billy for helping out with the dirt work, and also Jameson for helping on the ground to make the dirt work go so smoothly!
We are excited to get this essential part in and set to get a more in depth care of our herd, this chute allows us to have a safer and easier way to check pregnancy in our girls, help vaccinate, and treat anything medical that may come up!
Watch us grow, because that’s what we are doing!

More like Medium, large, and X-Large!
The herd has been eating well this winter, and by well, we mean round bales have us emptying our pockets; But our cows are hefty- and happy!

We are excited to say the first cow is scheduled and the entire cow is spoken for, if you’d like to get on our waiting list for the next one- message us today!

We also are starting a list for just ground beef- so if you’re interested in a 1/4- a whole cow OR just a couple (or 50) pounds of ground beef- Let us know!
