Pick your own greens
Going on now!

08/04/2025

Thank you again for being a part of Marshall's Produce. Please keep following this page. We might have updates later. Marshall still plans to have the pick your own greens so I will post when that is available.

To answer some questions we have had this week-

No. We are not selling the farm. Three Webster households still reside here and plan to until heaven calls.

Pickle recipe- Marshall will at some point share that in some way but not to any sole individual. I will post here when and how he decides how to do that.

What's next for the family?
I hope our mom has days of boredom. She needs to not have anything to do for a change.

Wanda is still working full-time but now her days off will be free.

I (Sylvia) am moving closer to grandkids next month. And who knows maybe I will write another book- this one about the tomato stand/farm!

Kenneth retired from full-time work last December but still works part time.

Marshall- He will still piddle around the farm. There is always something to do. Maybe he will work another yummy recipe!

The stand- people have asked if it will be rented out. That is something Marshall can decide later...nothing in the works.

Do we have canning tomatoes left? No. We have absolutely nothing left. We sold down to our last box on the stand and there not even canning worthy ones left in the field. It is over.

Last question -Isn't there a family member to take over the tomatoes. Unfortunately no.

Produce stands like ours are fading away and we don't like that either. Even our business has slacked off over the last couple of years. That is definitely not why we closed but it is a part of the big picture. Grocery stores are too convenient.

We love y'all and wish each of you the very best.

This Sunday, August 3rd will be our last day for the 2025 season. It is bittersweet but that will also be our last day for Marshall's Produce.
Farming has always been part of our family and it has always been hard work but it has become more of a struggle with weather extremes, community growth causing the deer to eat our crops and not it mention we are all getting too old for this!

We have loved providing you with homegrown, old time tomatoes that no one seems to be willing to grow anymore and our family will miss providing that to the community. We hope you will have good memories of visiting the stand, feeding the catfish and eating a good tomato sandwich.

Thanks again and we hope you can swing by one last time for a tomato!

Still at it...yum
