We grabbed Brad for a rapid fire round of Most Likely On The Team and he did not hold back. 😂

Worst farmer’s tan on the team? He answered without even blinking. Working overtime? Apparently there's one person who never says no and we all know who it is. Singing to the radio on the job? Brad called someone out by name and we are not going to say who. Showing up with coffee? Let's just say someone on this team has never once arrived without a cup in their hand.

Brad has been with us since 2019 and after all these years he knows exactly where all the bodies are buried. 😅🤣 Five years on this team will do that to you.

This is the Alfahay crew. Hard working, a little chaotic, and apparently very opinionated about each other. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Most people never think about what happens before the feed ever hits the bag. 👀

This is that part. After the alfalfa is cut we run the tedder over the rows. It spreads and turns the crop so it dries down faster and more evenly across the entire field. It sounds simple but this step is everything. Faster dry down means better color. Better color means better nutrient preservation. Better nutrient preservation means more of what your animal actually needs makes it all the way from this field into every single bag.

Skip it and you rush the process. Rush the process and you compromise the quality. Compromise the quality and the animal pays the price. That's not how we do things here. Every step of the Alfahay process is done with intention - from the moment the alfalfa is cut to the fermentation process to the bag that shows up at your farm.

We don't cut corners because we can't. Farmers trust us with the health of the animals they pour their whole lives into caring for and that means every single decision we make in this field matters.

Hey Alfahay followers, it's Korrigan, your Office Manager! :)

As you can see, my husband and I are expecting our first little bundle of joy this year. With that, comes some much needed time off for me to recover and enjoy motherhood. Therefore, Alfahay is looking for a dedicated individual to be our Office Manager Assistant.

We had a recent post like this a few months ago, but since that was created by a media company, I didn't feel like it accurately portrayed the position and therefore, I wanted to create a personalized one.

Bullet Points regarding this position and things you'd be required to do:
- Full time while I am gone, with the option to cut back to part time or stay full time once I come back
- Bi-weekly payroll (I will more than likely do this from home, but you may need to complete 1 or 2 payrolls depending on the time of my delivery)
- Take orders from dealers & customers
- Set up shipping for orders and be sure to have all paperwork completed for the trucks
- Learn and navigate many different online systems (exports, TSC, shipping, & more all have their own sites)
- You are the only point of contact here at Alfahay, therefore timely responses are required via email, texts, phone calls, Facebook messages, etc.
- Keep accurate records of all income & expenses through our online system
- Create & Send Invoices
- Pay invoices/bills that we receive
- Submit Quarterly Reports
- Be willing to be flexible and do things outside of the office (parts runs, crop scout, etc)
- && much more!

I truly believe the perfect person for this position needs to have some sort of agriculture background with livestock. I feel as though my experience of owning almost all farm animals at one point in my life has been very helpful when customers call with questions. 🐮🐷🐔🐴🐐

I will be training you, starting hopefully in September, as there is a lot to learn! I will make sure you understand everything about Alfahay like the back of your hand.

We put Wyatt in the hot seat for a rapid fire round and he delivered.

Favorite season? Harvest. Without question. This kid lights up the moment the season kicks off and wants to be in the middle of every single part of it, and honestly that energy is contagious. Boots or sneakers? You already know the answer to that one.

Wyatt is Nate's son and it shows. The passion for this farm, the pride in what this family has built, the want to be hands on in everything - it's all right there. He's growing up in the middle of something special and he knows it.

The next generation of Alfahay is looking just fine.

Meet Brad. 🌱

If you've ever opened a bag of Alfahay there's a good chance Brad's hands had something to do with it. Brad is the backbone of our bagging operation during harvest season. He shows up, he works hard, and he does it with the kind of quiet dedication that makes everything around him run better.

He's been with us since 2019 - which means he was here before most people had ever heard the name Alfahay. He watched this thing grow from the ground up and nobody deserves to see it succeed more than he does.

But what makes Brad really special isn't the work he puts in, it's the person he is while he's doing it. Biggest heart on the team. The kind of guy who makes a hard day feel a little lighter just by being in the room. We don't say it enough but we couldn't do this without him.

Meet Eli.

Three years with the Alfahay crew and there isn't a job on the farm Eli won't tackle. Tedding. Merging. Driving truck. Whatever needs done, Eli shows up and gets it done, no questions asked.

That kind of reliability is everything during harvest season. When the window to get the crop in is small and every hour matters, you need people who can jump from one task to the next without missing a beat. Eli is exactly that person.

Ask him what his favorite part of the job is and he'll tell you straight up - the variety. No two days look the same and he loves it that way. Always moving. Always busy. Always contributing to something bigger than himself. Three years of showing up. Three years of hard work. Three years of helping put nutrient dense alfalfa into bags that make a real difference for animals everywhere.

The deer told Nate before he even realized it. In 2017, Nate was raising whitetail deer and doing what most people do, trusting someone else's product to get the job done. But something was off.

The deer weren't responding the way healthy, well-fed animals should. They weren't as interested in their feed as he expected, and that bothered him. So Nate started watching more closely. And what he found stopped him in his tracks, his deer were going straight for this on top of everything else he was already buying them. They were telling him exactly what they needed. He just had to listen. That's when Nate decided to stop relying on others and start doing it himself.

He learned the process, mastered it, and began growing on his own. What started as 7 acres in a small building became something far bigger than he ever imagined.

Today, Alfahay is fully automated and producing over 700 acres a year — built on a foundation of curiosity, grit, and a herd of whitetail deer that knew better. The animals always know.
