Protect your home with these quick tips:

• Run your pool pump during freezing temps.
• Let exterior taps drip lightly overnight—outside plumbing freezes first.
• Keep your water heater powered on; indoor plumbing stays warm.
• If your home was re‑piped, open a couple of faucets for a very slight stream.
• Florida homes aren’t built for northern-style winterizing—circulation is key. One dripping tap is enough.
• Remove all garden hoses from hose bibs. A frozen hose can split the tap inside your wall.
• If a hose is stuck, cut it off and discard it— we can repair the tap later.
• No full streams—just a steady drip to keep water moving.
• Exterior water softener? Movement inside the home helps protect it.
• Cover your backflow preventer (the large brass valve in the yard) to reduce freeze risk.
