This is what gathering sap used to look like! Yesterday was the biggest sap run in basically most of the maple producing region. We made 1,100 gallons of pure maple syrup in one boil (which took all day and all night!) and we had a crew of 3 out picking up sap ... they got us 60,000 gallons of sap!!! Good thing we went to using tubing :)

Day 44, thursday 10/16. Good morning Fox Valley.
It has been a wonderful season. We would like to thank all our customers, old and new.
Last call for our world famous Caramel apples. Plain or covered in a generous portion of crunchy Virginia peanuts. Last chance to enjoy this fantastic fall treat.
Honeycrisp seconds or windfalls, on sale while supplies last. 10lbs,$7.

Day43,Wed. 10/15. Good morning Fox Valley. Looks like another day of apple sales!
A little bit of badly needed rain yesterday. We could use an inch or more, keep your fingers crossed.
The orchard still has apples to give, so we're staying open for a bit. It's starting to test our resolve. You can't cure old, you just gotta live with it, hopefully?
Stop in for some FRESH apples, picked in the rain this morning. All washed by God's grace. Many varieties still available.
We have alot of honeycrisp windfalls for sauce. Only $1/lb in 10 lb bags. Also baking apples for $1/lb.
And don't forget our world famous caramel apples. Homemade caramel covering a fresh picked apple. Plain or smothered in crunchy Virginia peanuts, it just doesn't get any better than that.
We are going day to day, so don't delay. Still selling the freshest apples around. Hope to see you one more time. And as always, that's my 2 cents.

We are sticking with selling apples a bit longer. Normally our trees would empty this time of year, but thanks to a great crop we are still in business.

Monday, 10/13. Good afternoon folks. Just did my drive thru the orchard on my Shark mobile and it's just what everyone's been telling us, we still have alot of APPLES!!!! Honeycrisp galore. Looks like we'll be open a while longer. Only thing we're short of is ambition! Lol. That's what old age does to ya, slowly but surely. And that's my 2 cents.

Day 41, Sunday 10/12. Good morning sports fans. The Brewers got it done with a huge win, and let's hope the Packers follow suit.
Normally this would be our last day, but the apple trees are whistling a different tune. It appears Sharky just did too good of a job growing apples this year. We will extend the season on a day to day basis until we get closer to SOLD OUT.
Todays featured apple, the Northern Spy. It has a sweet tart taste and a great crunch. Good for fresh eating and excellent for Baking. I ate 2 of them yesterday, which is rare, but what a great apple.
We have over 15 varieties on the table, so stop in for a test taste.
Alot of apples available for picking. Supposed to be a nice day, so bring the Family for some fall fun picking apples.

Day40, Saturday 10/11. Good morning Brewers fans. Let's get that win and send Chicago packing.
Yesterday a customer bought several bags of apples, and when her son asked for a caramel apple, She explained She was out of cash. A very sad little boy, and Sharky just couldn't stand it. I grabbed a caramel apple and gave it to him, here you can have this. He asked "for free"? You bet! Another happy customer!!
This would normally be our last weekend, but that decision has not been made. I mentioned to my Sales manager(Wife) that if we could get those 100,000 people from October fest to each buy 10 lbs, we might have a chance of selling out! Lol.
PICK YOUR OWN. Only $1.50/lb. Loads of honeycrisp, cortland, candy crisp, snow sweet and Empire. Looks like great weather for apple picking. Bring the whole family and enjoy our harvest. We could use your help picking Sharkys best apples ever.

Day 39, Fri. 10/10. Good morning Fox Valley. There is definately a fall feeling to the air. Seems like it happens every year, with a little frost on the pumpkin.
All our apple picking customers return saying " boy, you still have alot of apples". My wife sticks her fingers in her ears and says, lalalala! I get the feeling She wants to be sold out! Lol
Todays featured apple, the CANDY CRISP. Known for its red delicious shape, its believed to be the parent. Large green apple with a yellow tint, it is an excellent keeper and is know for its pear like flavor. Sweet apple good for eating or baking or salads. Stop in and try a taste. See pic.
APPLE PICKERS! Please come and help Sharky with his harvest. Many honeycrisp available and others. All our apples are ready to go, waiting to be picked.

Our wolf rivers and greenie are on sale for only $1/lb. Great baking apples and they're priced to move. Get em outta here!! Betty Crocker recommends the greenie for baking. Good size and tart flavor make it an ideal baking apple.
