Marview Farms

Marview Farms We sell high quality grass fed, and grass finished meats.

Science has shown that pasture raised and finished meat is higher in four elements essential to a healthy human diet: it is lower in fat, calories, higher in Omega-3 fatty acids (the good fats), high in vitamin E and conjugated linoleic acid (fatty acid that reduces cardiovascular disease, fight carcinogens, and have anti-cancerous properties). Many animals are not designed to eat grain, which is

usually force-fed to animals raised in feedlots for a mass produced food system. We are constantly working on improving our soil and our farm so that we can provide organic quality meat.

Most people are cutting seed oils from their diet. Not everyone realizes the beef they are buying might be undoing that effort.

Grain-finished cattle are fed corn and soy in the feedlot. Those grains are high in Omega-6 fatty acids. When cattle eat them, the Omega-6 content of the meat goes up and the Omega-3 content goes down.

Grass-finished cattle eat what they were designed to eat. The fat profile stays closer to what nature intended: more Omega-3s, more CLA, less Omega-6.

If you are reading labels on your cooking oils, it is worth knowing how your beef was finished too.

At Marview Farms, every animal is 100% grass-finished on AGA Certified, chemical-free Georgia pasture.

Fernando and Margarita Mendez started Marview Farms in 2009 with a simple belief: that food raised the right way tastes better, nourishes better, and is worth knowing the story behind.

Seventeen years later, that belief is still the whole operation.

Grass-finished beef gives itself away before you cook it, and the tell is not the muscle. It is the fat.

Green forage is full of beta carotene, the same compound that colors carrots. Cattle eating it store some of that pigment in their fat, which gives grass-finished beef a faint yellow or cream cast. Grain-finished fat tends toward bright white because the diet simply does not carry the same pigments. Once you notice it, you cannot unsee it at the meat counter.

Every Marview steer finishes on forage alone, on pasture untreated for over five years.

Some bosses run morning meetings. Fernando runs his with 40 head of grass-fed cattle in Arabi, Georgia.

No agenda, no slides, just the farmer checking in on the herd he has raised since day one. They come when he calls because a low-stress life on open pasture is a good one, and yes, they know who runs the snack budget.

This is the happy life our animals were meant to live. Family owned since 2009, AGA Certified, and grass-finished the way nature intended.

Free range doesn't mean what you think. For pastured eggs and chicken, that label barely guarantees anything.

The USDA only requires that free range birds have access to the outdoors. In practice that can be a small door onto a concrete pad, so most of those chickens never touch real grass.

Ours do. At Marview Farms in Arabi, Georgia, our chickens forage on open, chemical-free pasture, scratching for bugs and grass the way chickens are meant to live. You taste the difference in the firm fat, the deep orange yolk, and the texture of the meat.

Family owned and operated since 2009, raised on soils we've farmed chemical-free for over five years.
