Wingwood Farm Wingwood Farm was started by Karen Smith in 1974. For over 50 years our family has bred Nubians dairy goats.

We strive for dairy, milky goats with lots of structural correctness.

Last club show of the year, Autumn Daze, was a blast… Annapurna and I made our adult showmanship debut with an ode to the goat and the goat farmer! :

Diligent dairy goat
Lover of hay
Maker of milk
Mistress of mischief

Proud Nubian
Trimmer of trees
Giver of cream
Queen of sweetness

Goat Farmer
Tender of kids
Bearer of hay
Midwife of does

Nubian breeder
Lover of ears
Scholar of pedigrees
Beloved by their herd

Many thanks to Kayla Kassabian for the expert footage!!

The Matriarch joined the the goats grazing in the big blue pasture today💔

✨SG WINGWOOD FARM TL AVIVA March 8, 2015 - September 9, 2026✨

Lifetime milk 23890 lbs, fat 1063 lbs, 2023 ADGA National Show Total Performer
Over 1200 registered offspring, grand offspring and great-grand offspring
Foundational Doe: 90% of current Wingwood herd descends from her.

Most importantly she was my heart! She was quirky and opinionated! Two weeks ago she parked herself in the middle of our linear session and the poor appraiser had to do their work around her. She drank several sodas and stole a piece of Hawaiian pizza, ham and all! She loved treats and anything considered "human" food. For the last few years she free ranged the farm. Maybe now my husband will be able to grow a grapevine without it being "pruned". A big piece of my heart left today, but she left behind a legacy❤️🧡💛💔. Rest easy my friend.

September Milk Test Complete! It has been a mission to get back on test after a 2 year hiatus, but we are slowly getting back on track.

STANDOUTS

TOP SPOT: Sweet Avril 12.7lbs! - this one is especially sweet. Avril had a very rough kidding that resulted ~1 month of severe hind limb lameness and spending most of her time laying down. Through it all she kept milking and wanted to come into the parlor, so I kept milking her. She is now on track to milk around ~3000lbs. She is now mostly sound after lots of pain relief, support wraps and heal extensions although she lost much of the muscle mass of her rear legs and her rear pasterns will never be the same. Love this doe!💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

THE OLD LADIES: Amelie 10.8lbs , Annapurna 10.0lbs both 8 years old and still pumping it out

THE THREE YEAR OLDS: Tiptoes 11.3lbs, Amandine 11.1lbs, Ada 10.2lbs, Anneleise 10.1lbs

THE FF 2YR OLDS : Entering 9th and 10th month of lactation these December and January Fresh does are still kicking it out the park! Anissa 8.6lbs, Amiti 8.1lbs, Amazonite 8.0lbs, Avaline 8.0lbs
