Its been a great year. I can say with almost 100% certainty that chicken will be gone before the first batch of 2027.

We've had quite a few new people join the page recently and I thought it was time for a reintroduction of our farm and family.

We are Chuck and Lisa Skillman and with the help of 5 of our kids, we own and operate Troll Bridge Farm in Arcade, NY. The farm celebrates 19 years this fall! We started raising Angora goats back in 2007 and switched to all pastured meat production between 2016-2020. We currently raise, turkeys, chickens, egg chickens, pigs and beef on the farm Lisa's family has owned since 1987. We purchased the farm in 2025. All of our meat is raised without hormones, without antibiotics unless absolutely necessary (I think we've medicated a meat animal maybe 5 times since 2016) and without the use of pesticides in our pastures. Our meats are processed at local, state or USDA inspected facilities within 77 miles of the farm. Some of our beef comes from a neighboring farm where they have similar commitments to quality meats.

Thanks for following along on our adventures here. There is never a dull moment, although sometimes we wish there were! While our "farm season" is slowing down for the winter, we are never quite done. The pigs a d last batch of broiler chickens will finish out within the next 5 days but the Thanksgiving turkeys and cows remain and a new batch of pigs will begin again soon.
