Well, finally done planting trees for this spring! Put like 50 in the nursery for next spring and moved about 50 and officially all the other trees ordered are in the ground before the rain last week. Steve decided to sell his preup (Prius/pickup) as one of the nephews called it. This is a 2009 Prius with 211,300 miles. It does need a new hybrid battery bad cell in #14. Has always had maintenance on time, has good tires, new 12 volt battery, break actuator replaced, needs a new windshield if you want to replace. She does look pretty rough but runs great otherwise, always dependable. Always drove it to Arcadia and back to Carroll as it was our tree farm vehicle. Needs a good cleaning but would make a great farm vehicle or first time driver! We have driven it around town so it does run and drives. We did have a hitch on it also for a trailer if you're interested. Was going to put on our other Prius but needs a different one. Only 4 bolts to attach it. $150.00 for that. Enjoying the rain today, April 2! So far rain gauge is saying 1". Well needed rain. It's pretty dry out there with not much snow this winter. We'll see about planting again on Monday. Gives us a few days to catch up on inside stuff! Everyone have a HAPPY EASTER!!!

Well we started planting trees that we had in the nursey from last year. We did 26 on March 12, last Thursday and 27 on March 13, last Friday which was all we had. So then on Sunday March 15 we get the blizzard/snow in the pictures! Steve and I went out yesterday, March 18 to do some work to find we can't do anything!! So much snow left in the driveway/through out the trees we can't get through. We did walk it and clean out all the wren houses we have up. We may have like 20 wren houses out and all but 3 were used last year! The wrens are so cute to watch and listen to and they help keep black birds and robins away. (those birds break off the tops of the trees) Wrens are very territorial! Steve said they will be coming back around April 18 to nest again. We will be seeing our shipment of new trees coming next week so snow will be gone by then. It was some great moisture at least!

Well, Happy Valentines Day!! to begin with. What have we been doing with our time this winter? Keeping very busy. LOL No I don't babysit great granddaughters every day, only when needed which isn't to often.

Went to the Carroll Rec Center to see the Christmas tree we donated to the All Strings Attached Christmas concert!! I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS is today and tomorrow. Today's performance is at 4:00 pm and Sunday's performance is at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Cost is $12.00 per person or 2 for $20.00.
